Kenny Smith ripped me off. I hired him to repair a hot water heater. I’d been without hot water for 2 weeks. To make a long and painful story short, Kenny and his wife scammed me out of $155.00 for parts and labor. He only tried to light a pilot. He also claimed he fixed a gas leak, a very frightening and disturbing diagnosis!! Spire gas checked for gas leaks prior to me hiring Kenny, they found NONE..they had come out 3 times in an attempt to light the pilot. This unscrupulous man took my money for a job he never did and for parts he never bought. My grandsons and I suffered through an additional week of having to boil water on the stove for baths and washing dishes.I am 60 years old, disabled and on a fixed income. Before hiring Kenny, another plumbing company charged me $205.00 to replace a thermal couple. That didn’t work. Kenny assured me he could repair the water heater. I’ve tried several times to resolve this issue both with Kenny and through a friend who recommended him. He has not refunded me the amount I have requested. I have other options I have and will take.
