City Bistro

Driving back from San Leandro to San Jose, we stopped for a bite to eat. We thought we would go to Panda Express (been there done that). We walked past the City Bistro and looked at the menu...Wow, lots to choose from and all the descpritions looked great. We like to take a chance now and then so we went for it.... No one was inside, but we were quickly greeted by the cooks wife. We made small talk and asked what was good on the menu, she said everything (of course). I changed my mind twice about the soup and settled on the white bean with chucks of corned beef and pastrami, it came with these amazing croutons( I asked for more) and a bistro salad. My husband got a California Club (it was HUGE) and came with 3 little side salads. It has a casual atmosphere with lots of New York pictures. We will be going back soon and I can't wait to try the Artichoke soup with fried artichokes!

It's in the little strip mall in the Target parking lot.
