I tried them a couple times for short kids' parties in the past few months. First time, they were 1+ hour late. I thought it was a fluke since they received the 1998 Bay Area Parent Award. The second time, they were 2.5hrs late by the time I cancelled. Later, I found out there's a lot of similar complaints on Yelp and Better Business Bureau (BBB). In fact, BBB gave them an F (the lowest possible rating that is very difficult to get unless you totally ignore your customers): http://www.bbb.org/greater-san-francisco/business-reviews/equipment-rentals-and-sales/bay-area-jump-in-hayward-ca-81620

I tried them a couple times for preschoolers' parties (so very short parties) in the past few months. First time, they were 1+ hour late even after their delivery window. I thought it was a fluke since they received the 1998 Bay Area Parent Award. The second time, they were 2.5hrs late by the time I cancelled. Later, I found out there's a lot of similar complaints on Yelp and BetterBusinessBureau. In fact, BetterBusinessBureau gave them an F (the lowest possible rating that is very difficult to get unless you totally ignore your customers). Of course, neither the driver or company rep was the least bit apologetic.
This is actually the worst and most unprofessional experience I've had with a jumper company. First they failed to advise that stairs cost money and charged me a $1/per stair upon arriving and noticing stairs. Then they used a dolly to take the jumper down the stairs and let the dolly hit every single stair on the way down taking divots out of each stair (the house was a new purchase 3 months prior and the stairs were in great condition prior to hiring this company). When confronted they were not apologetic, were down right nasty and would not take responsibility for the damage to the stairs and maintained that we would need to take the matter up with the delivery guy (but we paid the jumper company and signed a contract with them, not the delivery guy). ????
Unfortunatley I now have to consider court as a recourse to collect the damages caused, as they also refused to acknowledge a written letter in addition to several phone calls. The least they could have done was apologize and return some or all of the $200+ they made off me that day.

Please, please, PLEASE, do not use these people! I organised a company picnic at Tilden Park and this company was on their recommended list of suppliers that we could only use. Things were moving smoothly with them until the day came for us to get what we paid for... And let me tell you, we certainly did not get anything for what we paid for! First of all, the guy delivering the bouncy castle arrived one hour late, and to top it off he dropped the generator we hired and rolled it down the hill. Needless to say, it didn't work after he had done that. So the guy then decides to leave the broken generator and deflated bouncy castle with us while he went off to get a new one. 3 hours later he turns up with... guess what... a generator that he did not know how to use. For an hour or more he had help from several guys at the picnic, who all tried their best to get this generator to work. Nope, nada. SO, he goes away again, and this time he brings back a generator that works after he finally works out how to get it turned on. Finally at 3:30pm (after waiting 5 hours) the kids had a bouncy house to bounce on... Wait, that all sounds too good to be true right? It was. The generator starts to splutter and choke after an hour... and then it dies. It still had plenty of gas, so what happened this time? We tried to revive it, but alas, it was too late, the delivery guy was back to pick up the equipment we had paid a lot to hire. We probably had a total of 45 minutes of uninterrupted use out of that thing. So first thing on Monday morning I call up Bay Area Jump to complain... they knew nothing of this incident. They said they would call back, they didn't. I call back the next day and they still know nothing, and still haven't gotten hold of their driver (seriously?), and they finally offer to reimburse me with $75.... I shall quote Hannah Montana on this one ""SAY WHAT?"". Apparently, since we got the generator to work for roughly 45 minutes out of the 8 hours we hired it for, we were only entitled to that much back... Oh yeah and to top it off the Manager of Bay Area Jump had the cheek to accuse one of the kids of breaking the bouncy house, and that she was being ""generous"" by offering that much. We did also have Sumo Suits from them which were fun, but dirty looking. However, the total amount we had to fork out for these jokers was $417, and they are only willing to give us back a measly $75.
If you are still willing to use these people after reading this, then you should go work for them.
We called last minute to get my son a Spiderman Jump house. We talked to a nice lady named Emma. She told us that she could get a driver to us with in the hour. I was so happy and when the driver came he set up the jumpy and it was like new and my son just loved it. I would highly recommend this company and use them in the future.

BEST EXPERIENCE WE HAVE EVER HAD WITH A JUMPY COMPANY. LOVED THEM, We called their (800) number and the operator we talked with...an older lady. She was really nice and friendly, asked us about our son and what he like or didn't like. We picked the Jumpy and they showed up the day of the party...2 hours earlier than we had booked it for but that was fine, they had told us they might. Set up the jumpy (Spiderman Combo) it looked brand new...clean and perfect. My son had the best time. Highly Recommend Bay Area Jump.
