Forrest County DHS is one of the worst when it comes to Foster Care. They lie and cover for each other. It's hard to get in touch with a worker when you have a problem. They place kids in your home knowing that you will only get board payment for the about of kids your home is licensed for. And sometimes you will not get board payment at all, because they will not list the child/children as being placed in your home. Most of them drop the child /children off, with little or no information about the child. The worker that brings the kids is not the worker, and you have to call several times to find out exactly who the worker is. They expect you to do their job and take care of the kids. You go out the way to help and they treat you like sh**.

I have tried to call this morning 4 times. Once the phone rang 30 times and someone picked it up and hung up. I tried again 2 more times and those times immediately someone picked it up and hung up. The receptionist is EXTREMELY rude and unhelpful. The caseworkers do not have voicemail so it's hit and miss and no one can answer a straight question no matter how long they've been working there, they always have to 'get back to you on that'. In dealing with agencies from other states they are friendly, helpful, polite and have cell phones and voicemail and are easily reached and return your calls promptly.
