I worked here as an employee and literally had to quit about a month in. Never have I seen a facility run as poorly as this. The staff are rude, unprofessional, and they do not do their jobs. If you put your family member here, I hope you don't mind them never getting cleaned with soap. The residents are stripped of their rights, they are bullied and the staff literally does not care. The facility is dirty, (one night a residents urine bag leaked all over the floor and they didn't even mop it) the food is disgusting, and if you're a resident here, you will get nothing that you desire. If I could give this a negative rating I would. I'm ashamed to even say I was an employee. Don't ever put a family member here, I wouldn't wish this place on my worst enemy.

Please do not let your love ones live there. My mom used to lived at Avery Heights and was not treated right. They are only interested in the money and not the well being of the elderly. We had the level 2 for the assisted living services and she will only get assisted once a week with her needs instead of 3 to 4 times per week that we were paying for. The staff that works there are all miserable but when the family is around they put a happy face. I wish there were hidden cameras to see how they really treat our families. Our elderly people need caring and lovable staff that is going to take care of them. Work place ever. Thank God my parents are no longer living there and are at a better place with really good and excellent staff.
My grandmother lived at Avery Heights in the 1980s and early 1990s. My mother now happily lives independently at Avery Heights and her three children could not be more appreciative of the quality of life that she has. I am actively involved with volunteering in this community and see firsthand the caring environment that exists. The staff is friendly, caring, and efficient, and our mother's concerns are met in a timely fashion. Thank you, Avery Heights, for being such a special place in which my mother is happy and can thrive at age 94!!
Absolutely horrifying! Incompetent at best; negligent at worst. My parent was admitted to the facility for rehabilitation purposes and developed a staph infection that went ignored until family intervened, and open sores that were bleeding regularly on his foot, that also were denied any medical intervention! When questioned about it we were told it was "normal dry skin of the elderly." They continued to wrap the food until we noticed blood seeping through the dressings when he went for a procedure at the hospital. Open ulcers were covered up and the top of his foot was black! He is currently in surgery undergoing a procedure to try to save his foot/leg!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS FACILITY!
I am presently here and am amazed that this place exists...the staff is rude and non-caring...rather be at a Vet. kennel...stay away
this facility should be shut down . the most uncaring staff I have ever encountered
DO NOT let ANYONE stay here !! My boyfriend is there and was accused of stuff and twhen i was visiting him he wanted somethi8ng and it took them over an hour to see what he needed and then he just had a diabetic sezuire bexause his suger was lower then 50 and he tried to get help before then!!! i hate this place they are so rude and they say the person that you want to talk to doesnt not want to talk and they havent even told the person that they have a call that is when the pick up!!! i wouldnt even rate it one star!!1
