I brought in a prescription. I was in great pain. They made me wait and wait while three people stood in the back and did nothing and the lady at drop off was on the phone. Wait, wait, wait. Finally, she got off the phone. I gave her the script, and she said the doctor had not verified it with insurance. I kept asking her what I needed to do and she kept trashing the doctor. Finally, I drove back to the doctor. They said the pharmacy was supposed to fax them. I went BACK to CVS. Nobody in line, nobody on the phone. But I still got to wait as someone came up behind me to "ask a question" so again, wait, wait, wait while the three in the back did squat. And then the lady at the drop off desk said Of course they knew they had to fax the doctor. They had done it after I left. Wha! Not what they said the first time. I tried to find out what to do next. No straight answers. I am in pain, not thinking clearly. Stress makes the pain worse. I got home, sent my husband, he took the script to another pharmacy. To be fair, the other pharmacy is still having trouble getting it approved. But taking others in front of me, not answering my questions with straight answers, etc. are unacceptable in my book. If someone is getting a prescription for oxycontin and claims to be in immense pain, doesn't that at least warrant a little sympathy? Not here.
