Can I say 0 stars all the way if I could. Most inspections take 30 to 40 min for a good inspection. Husband sat there for close to 2 hours watching them go over our car doing an inspection. They said he needed a lower ball bearing on one of the tires. They quoted him a little over $300 and had time to do that day. Forty minutes later they came back and said they where having problems and it was now going to cost $860 to have repaired. Husband was angry and told them to put everything back together. Took to another mechanic who does not do inspections. He said there was slight wear but not to where it should fail inspections. Husband went ahead and had the whole bearing changed at the cost of a little over $400. So my advice like everyone else's is to stay away. I will be reporting them to the Va Saftey Board. Hopefully they will lose there license for inspection due to ripping people off as all there reviews shows
Drove through parking lot to look at a vehicle and pulled out to the light he ran up to the side of the car and proceeded to make a complete ass out of himself. Will never go there to look at anything again.
My 16 year old son took our vehicle here to be inspected and for an oil change. They over charged for the oil change and put a rejection sticker on the vehicle saying it needed over 1200.00 in parts alone not including labor which would put it near/above 2000.00. Also my son had to sit there and wait for over 4 hours. Took the vehicle to another garage that we had never been to and it was thoroughly inspected and passed. NOTHING was wrong with it. When I called to question all the things wrong with the vehicle I was not allowed to speak to the mechanic, Lyle who inspected the vehicle. Jill, the person who answered the phone, said the mechanics didn't speak to people?? If I could give them 0 stars I would. My son said that while he sat there, there were many people who got rejection stickers and were told that it would be around 1000.00 to repair the things that did not pass. If you need an inspection I would suggest you go anywhere but here.
I have been going to Boris auto repair for years and love the humbleness and honestness of this business owners. And special as a female, I cannot say the same for other auto mechanics that I have used in the past who just want to rip you off.
Do *not* go here, they're rip-off artists. I would rate them as zero here if the site would allow it. I brought a car in for state inspection, was told I needed over $2,000 in professional repairs for it to pass, brought it to another shop and turned out all it needed was about $50 and a couple of hours of my own time for some maintenance work.

Airey is by far the best mechanic shop I have ever dealt with. As a female, it is difficult to find trustworthy, respectable mechanics that will treat you right, but Airey exceeds my expectations with flying colors. They thoroughly explain the problems to the customer and always try their best to keep the cost of repairs down. The last time I had my car in for a repair, they quoted me 2 hours of labor, but when I picked it up, they had taken less time and they actually dropped the price down - I have never heard of a mechanic being so honest! These guys are respectful to the customer and they really know what they are doing. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the Harrisonburg area. Plus, it's always great to support the small businesses!
I visited Midas on Thursday evening to prepare my vehicle for a trip that I would be taking the following morning. They changed the oil, rotated the tires, and pumped air in the tires. After leaving Midas, I went directly home. The next morning, when I was to be leaving for my trip, one of my tires was completely flat. After further inspection, it also looked like the Midas mechanics had left all the air valve caps off, which is an obvious sign of negligence. Due to the high likelihood that this was not a random coincidence, I called Midas and spoke with Leon, the manager on duty. I began to explain the problem and my dissatisfaction with the delay it caused on my trip, along with the overall negligence of the maintenance performed. Instead of a simple apology or explanation, Leon told me that the flat was my fault for running over a sharp object and he immediately became defensive, talking over me, laughing at my accusations, and yelling at me. I have never been spoken to in such a demeaning, condescending, nasty way. When I asked to speak to the owner, Leon told me that he was out of the country until the end of the following week. By the end of the conversation, I felt completely disgusted by the situation and hung up the phone on Leon as he was in the middle of yelling at me.The following Monday, after returning from my trip, I returned to Midas with the flat tire so that they could inspect it. Luckily, Leon was out that day and the owner, Gary, was there (proving that Leon had lied to me when he told me that the owner was out of the country). I explained the situation to Gary. He then took my tire and found that, sure enough, the leak was caused by their negligence (although he never would admit this, nor give me an apology). They fixed the leak and put the tire back on my car. I am still concerned that the tire wall may be damaged, but I want to cut all ties and move on. Although I am not requesting a settlement, I feel that the manager, Leon, has absolutely no business working in the customer service industry. He is a terrible representative of the company and he should be fired. If Midas had any regard for customer service, they would have replaced the damaged tire along with replacing the spare tire, because their negligence caused the issue in the first place. Unfortunately, I didn't even get a simple apology. I will never even consider doing business with another Midas again and I will be passing along my terrible experience to everyone I know.
