Siena house took a pbpp/ dept. of corrections contract to house people with mental health issues returning to the community from state prison .However, by Social Securitys rules, people living at SH cannot collect OR EVEN APPLY for SSD/I benifits .Parole is aware ofthis, SH is aware of this the DOC is aware of this, ieven tried to talk to my state rep. Patty Kim about this but cant get past her aide . Mentally ill ex- cons are some of societys most vulnerable people and you have this group of above mentioned people who are putting mentally ill parolees in a situation where,if they cannot maintain employment, have only one option , eventual return to prison . Siena house is 100% okay with this situation because it fulfills their number one agenda $$$$$ at whetever cost to their clients health, success, or lives.

Great program initiatives come from this office.
Doesn't even rate one star, but I think we have to give one in order to write the review. Our family has been treated terribly by this group -- the entire team dismissed us to the point of refusing to respond to our question or even acknowleding our communication. We were completely shut out of our child's treatment process and were provided with "inaccurate" information on multiple occasions (that's putting it mildly). There appeared to be a culture of silence that came from the supervisory level, particularly when our family started pointing out the "inaccuracies" in their reporting and requesting that the informaiton be amended (never happened). Rude and dismissive. If your family needs assistance, you want and deserve a supportive team. That DEFINITELY did not occur during our dealings with this group. We could not have been treated worse -- and for no reason whatsoever. We tried repeatedly to fix the problem but they would not even respond to our correspondence and complaints, and even attempted to blame us and paint us as unreasonable. No customer service whatsoever. They are the ones who are right -- not the customer. Look elsewhere.
Delta Housing is possibly a well meaning organization but...I know first hand of its gifts being abused. Mr John Cambian aka John Gotti used them to get housing for him and his kids then gave up his kid, kept the place and now is sub leasing it. All while living somewhere else this is abuse of the program and its funding that real needy people could be using, Not giving subsidized housing to a person who owns his own barber shop, has a felony record, pays no taxes, has 7 or 8 children he doesn't live with and pays no child support, abuse, abuse, abuse. Delta doesn't check or follow through on it. Needy families could use that money.
