Great food, great service, great prices, win, win, win, dining experience!! Went back next day and planning to make more!
I just want to start out by saying, I'm a Gujarati man, and I know what authentic Indian food is, and can say that this is definitely not.If I could give this place negative stars, I would give it -5 stars. When we reached the restaurant, starting from the parking lot, I knew this was going to be a horrible experience. The exterior appearance of the property was very dirty and cheap, walking inside, immediately noticed the carpet and tablecloths were unkempt and dirty. The place was empty except 2 tables with two people at each. There was also no server to greet us, and we stood at the entrance for about 5 minutes, and the waitress came out of the kitchen and as she was bringing food for one of the tables she told us to sit in the corner or the center. She pointed at the corner booth and told us to go there. We walked over by our selves, which just felt very much like a diner, not the "classy" restaurant they have marketed themselves to be. After we put in the appetizers, it took about 20 minutes for it to come out, which isn't bad timing at all. I started to notice that there were more than the one server, there were about 4 servers just walking about looking bored and not very organized. One server took our order, and after 10 minutes, the original waitress asked what our order was again, because they hadn't put it in. After that, it took about one hour before our food had come to us. When the food came out, it was cold and bland. The waitress and other server rarely came to check on us. At the end, one server was about to ask how everything was, the original waitress simply brought us our checks without asking if we wanted desserts or if everything was alright. I asked if I could speak to the manager, and it turns out it was her. I was absolutely shocked, this business was run by such a disorganized and rude person. No wonder the placed looked and ran the way it did. By far the worst experience I've ever had. Never going back and would definitely not recommend this to even my worst enemy.
We LOVE the food at this place. We are avid eaters of ethnic food and this Indian- Pakistani- Middle Eastern place really hits the spot. Atmosphere is good and the owner is very friendly and accommodating. Everyone speaks English well, so it is easy to order both on the phone for take out or in person. The place is a bit tucked away behind Mikado on North Mountain Rd, but parking is plentiful and it's easy to get to. The food is really great and all the different sauces and spices are really excellent. They have a diverse menu, so there really is something for everyone. I highly recommend the Dahi Bada Plate, Chicken Nihari, Vegetable Biryani, and the Paneer Tikka Masala. All are great. The food always tastes fresh and portions are a good size. We try to eat here at least 2-4 time a month.
Great location, friendly staff, clean good food less quantity but very delicious overall nice experience
