We initially took our daughter to another facility and were happy enough with it until it suddenly closed. We then took her to Kids Academy and were extremely pleased with the personnel and the facility. The facility was always clean and even through various personnel changes we always felt that our child was extremely safe and well taken care of. Our daughter has since graduated out but she (and us) have very fond memories of interacting with the staff at Kids Academy.
I saw these negative reviews about KA and I just had to speak for my family! My two children attended this facility for multiple years and they loved it! It doesn't even sound like these families even went to the same facility as my children! We had an amazing experience! The owner and director were well educated, organized, and congenial. If my husband and I have another child, we will definitely bring our baby here.
Excellent place to eat love the price
After my recent visit here, I will not return. Service was poor and unacceptable. Gave it 2 stars cause the food was somewhat decent. Our waitress was more worried about sitting up at the counter talking to the other 8-10 employees who were sitting there not working. We had to get up and take our cups to the counter to ask for refills more than twice. My nephew asked and waited forever for a straw so he could drink his drink. Never brought it back. He had to go up to the counter and ask for that. We only had interaction with our waitress maybe 3 times. Once for our order, once when the food was brought out and to give us the check. Once the food did come out she didn't remember who ordered what and put it down in the wrong places. We did her job and had to switch. I'm an adult, do you think I ordered the children's chicken finger meal?! Lol One of the few employees who was working and cleaning tables was talking on his cell phone the entire time! Just seems like the employees run that place and the manager is afraid to say anything to them. Never had such poor service or saw employees act like that at a resturant.
Poor customer service! Poor ownership! When you get served moldy food that you actually buy into you expect an apology or some type of compensation. When the owner refuses a refund for moldy food what does that tell you? Absolute worst! Never visit this place - rat dropping might be next!
Our son has been at Little Learners for the past 2 years. The staff welcomed us with open arms and have been an absolute pleasure. We would highly recommend this center to anyone looking for their children...it will be the best move you make!
The food tasted fine when it FINALLY came out. The response from the manager to my inquiry about the long wait after ordering AND others who were seated AFTER us receiving food before us was "there's a lot of checks coming at us, we have 3 large parties".I was also charged for an item that was supposed to be included.
Our experience started out great with this facility. The teachers were involved and caring, my children loved going and were learning a lot! The downfalls of this facility started to outweigh the positives. Part-time "teachers" were being hired through a revolving door -- for a little while, we weren't even sure what some of their names were because they'd pop in so randomly -- some of them had no background in childcare and were merely brought in to fill the student to teacher ratio. Employees who were fired because "they clearly weren't meant to work with children" were hired back. Employees who felt it "wasn't their responsibility" to clean up children if they had an accident prior to that employees start time were also fired and hired back. The final straw was when my oldest child had an accident during nap time and was still in her soiled clothing when I picked her up at 5:45pm, which ultimately led to our un-enrollment.There are a core group of teachers who are genuinely loving, caring and want the best for your children -- we will miss interacting with them on a daily basis. Unfortunately, the Director and the Owner's lack of responsibility, professionalism, and ownership when concerns arise will be the reason this facility is not suitable for your child. Don't let the Keystone Stars 4-star rating on the front door fool you, this facility is not run to that standard unless they're under review.
We ordered a cake for my son's Eagle Scout ceremony to test their cakes before my Daughters wedding. The cake was decorated exactly as we wanted but the taste was a bit bland for a chocolate cake. When my wife ordered it she just requested chocolate not realizing they would give a dark chocolate cake. Maybe good for adults but for a group of kids to leave most of a pretty expensive cake was worrisome. Even with that we decided to go with them for my daughters wedding. Long story short we placed an order and gave the $100 deposit. My daughter and her fiancé are in Japan and soon after going back to Japan made the decision to delay the wedding till they returned stateside permanently. I know the $100 deposit was non-refundable so I asked if I could just order a birthday cake for my wife's birthday. No go can't change the order. I asked if I could just get the wedding cupcakes, nope can't order less than originally planned. Tried to tell me the contract says that but there is nothing in the contract that states you can't reduce your order. Not worth pursuing for $100 but if you go with them order the minimum you can as you can always increase. Also be aware that the prices are pretty high for their wedding cakes and cupcakes compared to the average in the Harrisburg area. Went with them because my daughter was happy with what they offered. I have no problem paying extra for a good product and service but when I have an owner/manager being so inflexible they lost my business and anyone else I know that is looking for a recommendation. I should note I hardly ever take time to even write a bad review of anyone so the fact that I took the time to write this should speak volumes.
