We were going away for Thanksgiving and wanted to make sure that we had a car rented for the trip. So a few months in advance we rented from this Budget car rental. We were to pick up the car at Budget the day before Thanksgiving. We arrived and the two ladies there were both miserable. You could just tell they hated their job, but none the less, I was plesant and tried to make conversation. They started to check me in. She told me the car I was getting, then told me they were going to raise the rate by close to $100! I said, there must be some msitake, I reserved thi months ago at a much lower rate. The woman, said I was an hour late for pickup, so they cancelled my reservation. First, we never realized we had a specific time to pick it up. Secondly, they never even attempted to contact us to see if we still wanted the car. They said they didn't have my contact information, which was a lie, as I have rented from them before (also a bad experience). I always try to give people a second chance, mistake was on me. I was very confused and asked to speak to their manager, when they both informed me they were managers. Yikes! The sad thing, is that since, they were so unpleasant, they had absolutely no remorse or empathy in their entire body. There was a smirk of, we got you and you know it. Well I was not about to let them win this injustice. I did call customer care and they were horrified, even offered to give it to me less than I first rented. A fr cry, from the girls, who had every intention to extort extra money from their customers. It is safe to say that I will never be using this Budget again. In fact, this experience has made me decide against Budget and Avis in the future. Good job "managers" you have successfully managed to lose a loyal customer for life.
Wonderful experience as always. Staff had my vehicle ready and waiting, I was in and out in no time at all.
The Harrisburg, PA office is quite friendly and effecient. The Enterprise parking lot needs work but the staff is fantastic!
They are always fast with their service, keep it very professional and are just an amazing group of people. I've been renting from enterprise for a few years now and they are always there with a smile ready to help. They go above and beyond for their customers at this location.
Great team and excellent service would not do my buisness anywhere else. Truly appreciate all their great work and effort they provide each and every time
I rent cars frequently and have rented cars from just about every major company. When I moved to Harrisburg I used enterprise for awhile. One day they were not able to fulfill my reservation, so I gave Budget a try. The employee Brady was very helpful and got me a better rate and a much, much nicer car. (ford limited f150). It seems that they carry newer vehicle and more premium cars as well, but are still competitive on rate. All of the renal agents have been very helpful, but the only two I remember are Brady and Chelsea. I had a minor issue twice, but spoke with a manager named Tom and he was able to rectify the situation. The building itself is a bit drab and rundown, but it appears that they are in the process of (slowly) redoing in. I would Reccommend them to anyone looking to rent a car in Harrisburg, however better deals can be had on moving trucks
I am writing this review for my mother who had what she describes as the worst experience ever. My mother rents cars often because she does not like to put high way miles on her personal car when taking care of business. Her last rental was a premium vehicle with Budget. She had what she described as a smooth pick up process when she picked up the car. She also enjoyed the care, however when returning the car everything went downhill. The rental agent was very rude and unprofessional, as well as the manager Tom Troxell. At the time of dropping the car off she was accused of smoking illegal substances (Weed) in the car, however my 50 year old mother is not a smoker of any sorts. After clearing up that matter she was then charged a $40.00 fee for the removal of an "inventory control sticker". this stickers me strange has she paid for the insurance and had she totaled the car it would have been free but a sticker that was not on the car at the time of pickup was gone and now she is assessed a fee. She has made two calls to the corporate office of Budget who only took down here information and provided a case number which they never followed up on. After leaving several voice mails with Tom Troxell he finally returned her call at which time he was very rude and told here "Maybe she should rent from another rental company in the future". This remark is unacceptable as I know the request my mother was making was for simple explanations of the charges that were added to her bill, and some level of manager response for the poor service the agent provided at the time my mother returned the car. I will be filing formal complaints. As a person who works in travel and tourism I will be sure that myself and my staff refer all of our clients on travel to as Tom Troxell said "Rent from another rental company in the future". I have also advised her to dispute any additional charges with her financial institution. So For anyone who took the time to read this you may want to also follow Tom’s instructions and rent from another rental company for your rental needs because they have no intentions of providing you a level of service that you can find at other companies. FYI : No my mother was not looking for any type of free handouts, she was and is completely willing to pay for the service that she used at the rate she agreed to, however the extra charges that are not accurate are now a problem.D.
