Zach, my trainer, was great. But the manager just could not understand that when we had to cancel, we wanted a receipt signed by her to show she agreed on that date (before the deadline) to stop charging us monthly after the current month. Otherwise we'd have no leg to stand on to go to court if they kept charging us. She thinks the new contract does this but she doesn't sign that, only the customer does. They protect themselves contractually but do not understand the customer's reciprocal need to be protected. When my partner got irritated about her being in a rush and unwilling to entertain the concern, she got huffy and refused to modify the contract as we had planned. So I don't get the training I wanted for one more month. And my attitude is poisoned regarding training again next summer. Bad business. You can deal with them more safely if you just pay by check every month if they will let you. Do not sign an electronic funds transfer form giving them access to your cc or bank account. They need a competent lawyer to create their forms so that both parties are protected.
