General Info
Stay in the heart of Civil War country, just an hour from Washington, D.C. Camp next to a trench where American soldiers faced off. Explore the site of John Brown's raid in Harpers Ferry. Visit Antietam National Battlefield and more. Hike along the Appalachian Trail amidst hardwood trees that glow with color in the fall. Here, three states meet at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers-with great tubing, kayaking and whitewater rafting. Biking enthusiasts can catch the C&O Canal trail that runs through town, 2 miles away. KOA's in-season weekends begin with pancake breakfasts and are capped by wine tastings and a ceremonial cannon firing, movies at the indoor theater or s'mores around the group fire pit. The Fun Zone includes a heated pool, wading pool, Jumping Pillow, 18-hole mini golf, indoor basketball court, game room, giant inflatables, Pile O' Sand and free Wi-Fi. Fido can romp at the Kamp K9 dog park.

Overall
Wonderful!

I was worried when we booked at a chain campground that we'd be pushed aside - tent campers can sometimes be pushed out by huge RV's. In fact, this site is ultra family (and tent) friendly, with activities for kids of all ages, and even live music the nights we were there. Well worth the money!
