Nice apts close to the park and HEB. Paying 750 a month for a 3bed 2 full baths was a good deal. Never had a problem with any neighbor, was quiet at night. Love to have an adult pool, to relax. They were doing a lot of plumbing repairs, and changing the windows. Alma is a nice landlord. Went back to West Texas and she didn't kept the deposit.

HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE AT. I EXPERIENCED HARASSMENT, NOSY LANDLORDS COMING IN TO CHANGE THE AIR FILTERS MONTHLY. EVERYTHING IS FALLING APART IN THE APARTMENTS. THEY ARE OLD AND POORLY FIXED SO WHEN YOU GET THERE THINGS START BREAKING BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT FIXED CORRECTLY. LAUNDROMAT IS HORRIBLE NO A.C. ONLY SOME WASHERS AND DRYERS WORKS AND YOU NEVER KNOW WHICH ONES AS THEY KEEP MESSING UP EVERY DAY. IF YOU GO TO MAIN OFFICE YOU CAN GET YOUR MONEY BACK BUT HONESTLY AFTER A WHILE IT GETS VERY ANNOYING. I FELL AT THE LAUNDROMAT DUE TO A WASHER MACHINE LEAK AND ALL THE DIFFERENT LAND LORDS FROM SOUTHWEST PROPERTIES CAME AND STARTED TO SPEAK IN SPANISH. EVENTHOUGH I AM BILINGUAL I COULD UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY WERE SAYING. I ALSO HAD A WITNESS AS WELL THAT SPOKE UP A BIT. MAIN POINT WAS THAT I WAS BEING HARRASSED BY THEM WHILE BEING HURT AT THE LAUNDROMAT AND IT WAS HORRIBLE. NO RESPECT, THEY KEPT TALKING OVER ME AND I JUST TOLD THEM I WANTED TO CEASE COMMUNICATION SINCE THEY WERE BEING VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ABOUT EVERYTHING. I FELL ON MY RIGHT KNEE AND SLID A BIT HIT MY BACK AS WELL. THEY WERE TRYING TO MOP BUT THEY HAD NO CAUTION WET SIGN. EVERYTHING WAS STILL SO WET AND THE LAUNDROMAT FLOODED DUE TO THAT WASHER. I HAVE PICTURES AND RECORDINGS OF THAT EVENT. I HAVE HEARD MANY OTHER ACCIDENTS THAT HAVE OCCURRED THERE AND NO JUSTICE HAS BEEN DONE BECAUSE THEY PAY OFF THE LAWYERS. THERE ARE A LOT OF SECTION 8 PPL MOVING IN NOW AND IT DOES NOT SEEM LIKE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT, AND THE PPL SEEM NOT TO CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS ALL THEY WANT IS MONEY, MONEY, MONEY. ON FRI, SAT AND SUN OTHER CARS TAKE UP OUR PARKING SPACES. THE POOL IS OK. THE WATER IS CONSTANTLY GETTING SHUT OFF WITH OUT ANY NOTICES THAT ARE REQUIRED BY LAW. THE WATER WAS THE ONLY UTILITY INCLUDED IN THE RENT $475.00 FOR 1 BDRM, 1 BATH. AND THEY WOULD CLAIM THE WATER WAS BEING SHUT OFF AND SAID ITS "THE CITY" SO ONE TIME I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A SHOWER AND THEN THE WATER STOPPED WORKING SO I WAS STUCK WITH SOAP AND SHAMPOO FOR HOURS UNTIL THE WATER CAME BACK ON. THEN I CALLED THE CITY TO CONFIRM IF THE WATER WAS BEING SHUT OFF BECAUSE OF THEM. THEY SAID NO. SO THEY LIED TO ALL OF US. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE OVERALL. I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU LOOK ELSEWHERE. NOW THEY ARE OWNED OR CO MANAGED BY MASON AND LODGE SO YOU PAY THEM. THAT'S ALL I KNOW I A MOVING OUT SO I AM THANKFUL. I DON'T EVEN CARE IF THERE'S A POOL ANYMORE. THAT WAS THE ONLY REAL REASON WHY WE CHOSE THAT PLACE TO BEGIN WITH. SO HERE IS THE UGLY TRUTH. NO LIES. AT LEAST MY EXPERIENCE. I WAS THERE FOR 1 YR 3 MNTHS.
This agent did not disclose the lack of a windstorm certificate for the home we almost purchased. Mortgage lenders require homes located in a coastal county to have windstorm insurance. Homes that do not have a windstorm certification cost thousands of dollars each year to insure. We were not made aware of this until after we signed a contract. Once we realized the cost we canceled the contract, now the seller is refusing to return our earnest money.
