We travel 140-miles round-trip just to purchase from this dealer. Mr. OC Welch is a man who appears to "never rest" in order to offer the "best" service and best deal possible to suit every buyer's individual needs. We've been buying our cars/trucks exclusively from OC Welch Ford for approx the past 25 years. We love our new Ford Explorer. OC and crew, thank you yet again for another personalized, pain free vehicle-buying experience...and at the best bargain around. Sincerely, Dan & Susan S.

Wasted a 2 hour trip from Charleston when I was told we could close a deal. Waited 3 hours to test drive a f250 that I never got to drive. They tried to down play my 2013 Ford F-250 king ranch by telling me it was worth $7000 less than 2 other dealerships on a similiar trade. They then upped their price on the truck I was looking at by over $1000. Good attempt to try the price switch when they think your gonna buy out of pain shopping. I buy ford products often, my whole family drives ford, but this kinda experience of the bait and switch, charleston residences, don’t waist your time like I did. Like I said earlier, they knew I was coming and never got to even drive the vehicle. Wasted time and made for an unpleasant experience. Just keep to your word.
I went to OC Welch after I was instructed by Ford Detroit to go there for inoperative rear sliding window on my 2014 FX2. It was a waste of time since Ford Detroit had said no warranty on the window. JC Lewis had informed Detroit that I had caused the defog strip damage. The window was changed a month later under warranty for the sliding window seal falling out and then being damaged by the window. My issue with OC is I had front tires wearing on insides and exhaust leaks at manifolds and slip joints. The exhaust leaks, I was told, are normal on these types of connections. I never had leaks on any of my other vehicles in 40 years. Also the tire issue he said was caused by me not keeping tires properly inflated and taking turns too fast. This is a load of BS as inside tire wear is caused by front end alignment. OC said alignment was good and I needed to be more careful with turning and servicing my tires. Ford does not provide cam bolts to allow the alignment to be adjusted. Customer has to pay for the bolt kit. 3 hours after that discussion, the truck was traded in for a 2015 GMC Sierra SLT. 3000 miles so far and no issues with it. The traded in 2014 Ford FX2 crew cab with 15k rode rough due to tires that would not stay in balance. JC Lewis and Ford said that the truck rode normal. I was feeling vibrations that wasn't there, though every tire balance at Goodyear found all tires out of balance..
The service department at OC Welch Ford is by the far worst I have ever seen. Everyone in there will tell you they are the service manager, and NONE of them have a clue to what they are doing. CINDY is the worst to deal with. She is clueless when it comes to customer service skills, and has no idea what she is talking about when it trying to explain what is wrong with your car. Oh and don't ask for the General Manager because apparently he is useless and can't help with anything. I have had to take my car back twice now for the same issue, and when I was told to come pick my car up, it was not parked where I was told it would be, it was hidden around back with the hood left partially open. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALER. Please, heed this warning before you let them service your car!!
No one I know receives the high end kind of service OC provides. He actually provides a nice, quiet office (unlike mine, with phones rigging off the hooks), and a reading area, several TVs, a CAFE, all in addition to incredibly professional, friendly service people who never try to push you into parts or services your car doesn't need - actually the opposite. I was told I needed to have my sunroof mechanism replaced because it was jammed. Well I had insurance, and I dutifully brought it in to OC and told the service people what the otherwise very reliable Atlanta mechanic told me. The one said it would take two days, iic that was true. The other said. "Give me the keys, I want to check something first. Be back in 10." It was 20 minutes. The roof worked like a charm. He said it was just leaves jammed in it. Once he cleaned them out with the right tool, Voila! And he washed the car to boot. Well they also wash the car, but when I bring it in for regular service. They did not even charge me a dime. My friends with Mercedes and BMWs are so jealous. I'm staying with OC because he's the best in Cars - Fords, for performance, reliability, economy, environmentally - he has really nice sales guys, the best service around the Low Country, and is personally doing wonders with a first class rebuild of Savannah's Public Bacon Park Golf Course!
DON'T SEE O.C.I have bought 2 vechicles from this dealership & although I wasn't too impressed w/ that experience; I have to say, their service dept really took the cake. I recently brought one of my vechicles in for a recall repair. The guy whom I dealt w/ over the phone was determined that my vechicle not make it out of their service dept without some kind of repair/fee. Everytime he would suggest I needed some type of work done, I called his bluff, then he would give some line like "Oh, I thought your's was another vechicle." Not only were they shady, they were pricey & I'm sorry but if your a mechanic you can only be one or the other. My suggestion to anyone wanting to buy Ford would be to make the extra 30 min drive to Savannah to JC Lewis Ford or if you are north of OC, go to Ravenel Ford; you will be glad you did.
I had stopped to review the inventory during a lunch break. I made an appointment with a salesman to return later that day with a vehicle to trade. When I returned I spent hours waiting for the salesman ro take care of a customer that wasn't even on the site. But I waited anyway. When I finally got to sit down and talk with the salesman he seemed to be somewhere else. He took mye car keys, left, came back."Said wrong keys." Then left again
My wife and I have been buying new and used cars from O.C. Welch Ford for over 16 years. The dealership offers a great product backed by great service at a great price. The size of the dealership is huge, but we've never felt like "just another customer." I've never felt "pressured or taken advantage of" in any way throughout our buying experiences, I've dealt with various sales associates, sales managers, and even O.C. himself, and I always felt good about the integrity of the vehicle and that of the owner. I've never hesitated on referring family and friends to the dealership which has resulted in cars being purchased by my parents, sister, as well as my wife's grandparents; the transactions were easy and there were never any surprises. O.C Welch Ford goes above and beyond to satisfy their customers.....before, during, and after the sale.
A year ago we decided to trade our Mustang for a small SUV. Having bought our Lincoln from OC Welch several years ago, there was no question that we would go there again. The sales staff is professional, but not pushy, and they have a huge inventory. We checked out options on line, and they had the Escape we were looking for when we got there to do a test drive. We drove in with the Mustang, and out with the Escape -- a painless and fast process! Our experience with OC's service department on our Lincoln has been superior, so we knew it would be the same for the Escape. Service is quick, all questions are answered, and they don't try to push unnecessary work. This is a professional organization, and OC is "hands-on" -- always walking around and greeting people. He even answers his own phone and emails! That's leadership by example!! I highly recommend OC Welch Ford Lincoln!
The OC Welch Ford-Lincoln Dealership is a 1st class operation. The people are genuine and the service is excellent. They Make you feel like family and not just like another customer. I would highly recommend OC Welch to ANYONE that is looking to buy a new or pre owned vehicle. Thanks OC!
