Poor Service

I have to say that I have never been treated so rudely at a video poker place as I was at Maddy's on the Friday evening January 30, 2009. I walked up to find a locked door at about 10:30PM. It was about 2 minutes before I was able to get the attention of the attendant to let me in. Once I did get in I asked the attendant did let me in I walked over to the counter and asked for a $5 quick pick on Power Ball. I was ignored, but, I thought he was just involved in cashing a ticket for the one other customer in the place so I just waited his return. Then I had to ask again as the attendant never said one word to me. I went into the poker machine area and started playing. The attendant was busily emptying the machines and he would stop and have pleasant conversations with the other customer. When I heard him ask her if she wanted anything and he started waking back past me I said, "could I get a glass of ice water when you get a chance?" I waited over 5 minutes, he was in the back room. Finally, I spoke loudly and and said, "could I please get a glass of ice water?" About a minute later the attendant came rushing out of the back room at me and in a low but harsh voice complained at me for yelling and told me he thought I was treating him like a slave and that he had told me he was busy and it would take him a minute. While I had never heard him speak to me before that, I said that I had not heard him say that as he stormed back into the back room. About another minute passed and he appeared behind the counter and handed me a glass of water. While I said thank you, he said nothing. I decided that was enough and cashed out my ticket and went to the front counter and waited for him to come. As he was approaching I said, "Could you please cash this ticket for me." He took my ticket and handed me the cash without saying a single word. If you are planing to enjoy playing poker, I recommend you go anywhere but Maddy's on 82nd and King Rd.
