After waiting over 3 hours the driver arrives and proceeds to hook up the rear of the car. When he only straps one tire down i ask him about the other strap ..... to which he replies "i don't really need it." He finishes strapping the ONE wheel down, and states that I can ride with him if i don't have another ride, but that his son is in there. I couldn't care less that the tow truck driver didn't wear a seat belt, but his 6/7 year old son who was sitting on the FRONT SEAT BETWEEN US definitely should've. We somehow make it to my home safely and realize the car doors locked with the key inside, with the key in the ON position and hazards flashing. Instead of just opening the door, Mario told me to call him if i couldn't get it open with the few tools i have, and just bounced. Took the cash for the tow, no receipt or anything. I called him after trying for 30-45 minutes, and said he'd be there after dropping off another tow in the area. After 2 1/2 hours i called back since it was almost 3am, and he said he was still coming. He never showed and my car eventually died from the battery draining, a BRAND NEW BATTERY! I call the owner, Mr. Burke the following morning and describe what happened. He apologized and stated he's sorry for the wait, and my car definitely should've been strapped down on both wheels, and also that he'd get someone to come unlock the car. He gets my info and ends the call. He then calls back saying he has Mario on his other phone, and that Mario didn't know the keys were in the ignition, even though the car was running when he arrived AND he wrapped the driver's seat belt around the steering wheel. So since he didn't see them, it's MY FAULT they're locked in the car. To save an argument, I just advised Mr. Burke I didn't want him nor his drivers unlocking my car and I'd be going elsewhere. He gets upset and yells when I let him know I'd be filing a complaint, and refused to provide his VDOT ID number, which is #1075272

If it was possible to rate a ZERO - they would get it. My daughter was involved in an accident which pretty much messed up front of car and was undrivable Driver gets out and cracks jokes about Ford found on road dead. Police officer on scene asked for one of his business cards and driver acted like he didn't have to give him one. When at the dealership to drop car off instead of putting car in neutral to allow car to roll off trailer he pretty much jerked the ramp back and forth to make car slide off - imagine trying to do that when one of the tires is flat. All he was concerned was - "gotta go I have another call" - In other words hope I didn't mess up your transmission but got to go. Provided no paperwork or anything. I would not recommend this service to anyone.
The only good thing bout this place was that they towed my car quick BUT that being said...Burke IS A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MAN. I HATE THIS MAN AND JOHN TOO. These men need to be sued and closed. I've left reviews EVERYWHERE (my issue happened in September-October time-frame) but I never thought of this website, so here I am, STILL PISSED about the way they treated me and my husband and stole money from us, because we "looked" well-off. SCREW YOU BURKE. Clean people that has a husband in the military and I'm carrying a Michael Kors purse that was a GIFT does NOT mean we are RICH. Asshole.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TOW TRUCK COMPANY!!! A week ago, my 17 year old son needed and tow, called AAA, and AAA sent Burke's out because it was a Sunday evening. The driver was very rough with the car, attached it to the truck's bed incorrectly, winched it down so hard that it bent both inner and outer tie rods, plus he somehow tore the bellows. $700 worth of damage. Then he literally "dropped" the car from the bed and took off. No paperwork, no signature, no receipt, no words. Beware if you are a AAA Tidewater member who needs a tow. Do NOT accept a tow from Burke's!!!!!!!
I am not sure if this review will make it to the right place but I just had to say that I received a great service from Auto Rescue Roadside Service by Dave. It was late and a very tough and different type of situation that he got me out of, not just a simple tow. He put in extra work when he could have just given up and passed the buck like the person before him did. Not only did he get the job done but he was patient and showed not one sign that he did not want to help. He was completely un-bothered in a good way. I truly appreciate his business and if i can help it I will always keep his card. I wish him and his company/team the best of luck. Keep up the great work and keep the great customer service.
I have used this towing service on three occasions, the drivers are friendly, and professional as well affordable and timely. If I ever am in need of towing services again I would definitely be using them.
Horrible company! Tow truck arrived over 2 hours after estimated time! Driver informed me that he hadn't even been dispatched until 15 minutes prior to arriving. I was told by the owner on 3 occasions prior to truck arriving, that a driver was en route and under 15 minutes away when the driver wasn't even dispatched. Once i discovered this, the owner wouldn't answer my phone calls anymore. BEWARE!!!
