We were introduced to Bob Harper Photography through their pro bono charity work (providing professional maternity photos for qualifying parents). From the first phone call I knew they were a cut above. Bob and Jenny made every effort to get to know us and match the photo session with our personality and expectations. Bob took hundreds of photos during our session and captured my family perfectly. There were so many great shots to choose from that we had tough time narrowing down our final purchase. Today, as I look at our displayed photos, I smile knowing we are captured at our best because of the care and professionalism we received at Bob Harper Photography.

I have known and worked with Bob for over ten years. When my wife and I needed a formal portrait of our son for his college graduation later this year, we thought of Bob due to his ongoing interest in photography and his newly established studio in Hampton. We are truly thrilled with the results!



Bob spent a lot of time setting up multiple test shots with varying effects, and as a result, we had a wide selection of top-notch photos to choose from. He also arranged for the pictures we selected to be matted and framed, which resulted in a simple yet elegant presentation.



Bob's work will appear on my mother-in-law's wall of formal portraits of her grandchildren; in our home; and however our son's girlfriend chooses to display hers.



Bob's price and quality are outstanding. We will be returning to his studio in the future for a family portrait, and we will wholeheartedly recommend his services to others.

I have known Bob Harper for a few years now as part of my Rotary Club. He was always taking photographs for the club functions, and they were really well done. I got engaged in February of 2010 with a Wedding Date of November 13, 2010. I was tasked with selecting the photographer to cover our engagement photos and our wedding. Bob came so highly recommended that I asked him if he would shoot our engagement and wedding. I expected good things from Bob, but my wife and I were BLOWN AWAY!



All of the pictures were phenomenal. Bob was always available and went the extra mile for us to make sure we were happy and provided so many wonderful services and options for us. We have had so many complements regarding our wedding and engagement photographs. Bob and his staff were amazing at all of our photo-shoots and were consumate professionals.



Then to top everything off I was braced for a large bill at the end of the experience. (I mean wedding photographs are expensive, right?) Without going into too much detail, Bob Harper's prices were the most competitive and lowest that I found. PERIOD. The competition was not even close. I spoke with friends who had gotten married recently and they were astounded at the reasonable price my wife and I paid. Bob was significantly better priced than anything suggested on the Knot or Wedding Channel websites by far.



In summary, Bob Harper Photography is the best kept secret in the Hampton Roads area. You will be impressed. you will be staisfied. Most importantly, you will feel like your photographer is not there to make money off of you. In fact you will feel like Bob is there to make sure that your special event is captured for all time in the best way possible. You can't put a dollar figure on that kind of relationship. I plan on going back to Bob for family portraits or any of my photography needs.

There is a three room studio in downtown Hampton, where digital photography is practiced as a fine art. With wonderful backgrounds and lighting, we just had our family photos taken there, and highly recommend it to everyone wanting a fine family portrait. The photos can be printed wall size, in house, with first class results.



We have also just experienced Bob Harper as a photography instructor. Giving classes in the studio, Bob Harper is a walking encyclopedia of all things pertaining to digital photography.
