People were very nice and willing to assist. The complimentary breakfast was great. A full hot meal! The room was roomy and nice. Will stay here again if I'm back this way!

When I arrived yesterday (June 28th) I was told by James that if I booked with Expedia, Hotwire, or hotels.com that those companies have not been sending the reservations. It didn't make sense because how could all three major booking companies have the same problem? That wasn't the case and it was an error on Clarion Inn which caused them to overbook (since they didn't put in everyone's reservations). I was in the lobby for 2 whole hours which caused me to miss the event I was in town for in the first place. When I asked James if whenever this gets resolved if I could be accommodated for my inconvenience, he went on a rant to say how it's not his fault and basicAlly no that he couldn't do anything. And in the same breath he proceeded to tell me that I should've booked through Clarions website. Long story short, after getting hotwire to re send the conformation information (TWICE) James told me there was nothing they could do and that they were over booked and there was no room for us. I then called hotwire to see if they could move me to another hotel. Hotwire was definitely willing to move me but they had to call the hotel to verify that Clarion couldn't accommodate me. Hotwires agent clicked back over to my line and told me that (miraculously) James said it turns out that they can accommodate me. When going back inside a lady named Lauren helped us and apologized for the confusion and even gave us an upgrade for our room. I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service in my life (I've been treated better by McDonalds employees). Yes, there was a sticky situation beyond James and Lauren (and I totally understand that it wasn't their fault) but customer service goes a long way.
