Asked them to check the air in one tire. He did, put some air in. I asked him if I owed him anything. He said I could use another $3 for some lunch. I have never heard of such. Well all well had was a $10 bill which he took for putting a little air in my front tire. Did not ask if he could check the others or anything. If I need to buy any thing I will not go there, because if they let their employees do that then that is just wrong!

I took a blown out tire to the Tire Kingdom @ 11011 Highway 49 in Gulfport MS to have a new one installed on the rim of my camper. I handed the tire to the man behind the counter. He was a little dry to my humor about just patching it. The tire was destroyed and it was obvious that this was the case; alas, I tried to make light of the situation. He didn't really even snicker. I thought, oh well... he may be having a bad day. He took the tire to the shop to have the work performed. Roughly 15 minutes passed and the same man made a motion towards the counter for me to settle up the payment. I paid the bill, thanked him and bid him a good day. No thank you or anything from him. He just told me my tire was at the end of the counter. I shrugged it off as I was not from the area. I took the tire back to the camper and put it back on. I had just purchased this camper, used, and knew I would probably have to do a few things to "spruce" it up. All 4 tires had 1205 in the DOT box. This translates to the tires were manufactured the 12th week of 2005 meaning all 4 tires are 7 years old. (including the tire stems) They appeared to have no tread wear; however, 7 year old tires needs to be replaced. On the way home a day later, the tire appeared to be low on pressure. After checking the PSI, it was only at 20lbs. I thought that was about my luck... the guy didn't put the 50PSI that the tire called for. I filled the tire to 50lbs and went on down the road. I stopped 20 miles or so later for fuel and snacks. As I surveyed the trailer for anything that might be wrong, I noticed the tire was again low. Further investigation proved that they had not changed the tire stem. It was leaking (audibly) This is more than likely why the first tire blew out... leaking pressure! At this time, it was 6:30pm on Sunday night and I would not expect to find a tire store open. I'll leave out who fixed the stem problem (largest employer in the USA) and the rest of the story. But, I can assure you, there will never be another dollar of my money spent at a Tire Kingdom thanks to the shady dealings with a store in Gulfport MS! Do yourself a favor, make sure new tire stems are installed with new tires! This is definitely the practice of the tire stores I called today in Tallahassee, FL. Maybe this will help someone... STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION!!!
