I despise going to the food stamp office the people in front are rude and only have 1 to 2 windows open with a room full of people waiting the wait is beyond bad and when someone leaves the window takes them a long time to call anyone else need better staff and more people to work in front that don't have a bad attitude
Apparently they have a problem with doing their jobs. This is the THIRD time this year our food stamps have been cancelled because we haven't reapplied, um... I am 100% sure it's every 6 months you're supposed to do a reevaluation, not every 4. They are also baffled by the idea of a single father even though they have the custody paperwork in their files, so got screwed THREE TIMES just this year because THEY keep screwing up and not doing things right. We never get mailed anything, never get phone calls, so you're just screwed because you don't know when you are going to have to reapply apparently. None of these things should be an issue AT ALL. They also don't like to file child support delinquency claims, for 2 years...... 2 YEARS. STILL not one bit of child support. WHAT IS GOING ON HERE. WHY are they SO incapable of doing their jobs? They need to raise their standards on who they hire because obviously none of these idiots know what they are doing.
Ladies at the front desk is very rude and very unhelpful. Had to drive up there to reapply for assistance because they never mailed out my notice for interview and was told not they're problem that I didn't receive it had to pull a number wait over two hours for them not to take the paperwork that was needed for my case worker had to drive back up there the next day with same paperwork had to pull number again and sit and wait for over a hour just to hand over paperwork and talk with no one and when I got home got a call from case worker wanting to know where my paperwork was because she had not gotten them.
Uneducated employees at this site, apparently they are unaware on how to pick up the phone. It rings and rings and rings and then after so many rings, it transfers to a busy signal...
After already being seen while applying for snap benefits, I returned to get more information in the form of a brochure or flyer. according to the employees, your required to take a number to receive a flyer they wouldn't place in public for anyone who simply inquires in they're services. Also they're attitude didn't help neither.however the lady that actually called me back was awesome. This place isn't so bad once you get past window assistants, We had no waking up and being there before the office opened, so it wasn't a matter of having to wait in line. We weren't wanting to be interviewed or seen again. we just wanted a copy of information for reference. The security guards was very polite aswell.
