Overall the best seafood on the coast hands down die for biscuits also hot off the press
Best oyster sampler! do not like raw oysters and the sampler had all cooked choices. New orleans feel to the atmosphere. good food with cajun flare and fancy for gulfport.
I was on line looking so of the restaurants here in bilioix and Gulfport ms and everyone had good things to say about Cajun restaurant in Gulfport ms.it was really really good if you in the Gulfport area stop my Cajun you will not be sorry I promise you want. Mr & Mrs Willie Jones
We were really very disappointed in the last three or four visits to the Shrimp Basket on Hwy 49 in Gulfport. the shrimp keeps getting smaller and smaller and the last ones I got were like eating rubber. We used to eat there several times a month. Too many changes in the way the food is prepared and quality. I hate that, because we really looked forward to eating there. Our waitress argued with me the last time I was in, correcting me about the food. I eat there all the time and eat the same thing, nevertheless you never argue with the customer. Some of the wait staff are excellent, some not. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. Won't be back.
My family and I dined her based off a recommendation from a friend. We enjoyed the experience: live band, friendly staff and tasty food. Their motto is to prove a great experience for their guest and they do just that. The chargrilled oysters, gumbo and the captain's platter were all good choices. And you have to try a strawberry daiquiri too. The service from our waitress could have been a bit better, as we didn't see her much and it took a while for her to initially take our orders. Otherwise, everything else was good. I'd recommend this plate to others.
I have never been to this establishment. But I've been to the one in Destin Florida and had nothing but a wonderful experience. I will be in Biloxi next week and I absolutely plan on going to this shrimp basket here in Gulfport. The food that I had at the shrimp basket in Destin was absolutely delicious and I could not stop talking about it. Their Po'boys were to die for! To the review that stated that they came in at 8:30 PM and the place closes at 9 PM, was looking for trouble. You should never try to have dinner 30 minutes before establishment closes.
A great restaurant, terrific food... the fried green tomatoes and crab cakes are awesome.... prices are reasonable too...
Cajun's on Pass Road in Gulfport is a hidden treasure. It is always good and the vegetables are delicious. The fried cod is superb. It is a small place but is usually packed.
We had a seafood platter and a burger, and a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. everything was cooked perfectly, service was fast, and the sweet tea was just right. I recommend this for anyone that wants enough delicious seafood without breaking the bank!
We just left the Gulfshores establishment. This was our first attempt trying the shrimp basket. We will NOT return. We walked in at 8:25pm. Our order was taken promptly, drinks and appetizer served within a reasonable amount of time, and then the wait began. We finally left at 9:40pm because we were starving, and the promise of "your food will be out shortly" was not actually filling any bellies of my family. We were not the only unsatisfied customers either. There were several other people that left with cancelled orders as well. Our waitress was polite, but I am not fond of multiple excuses with no results. The manager is not a good manager. He stayed on the phone the majority of the time we were there. When we had finally had enough and were leaving, he copped an attitude saying "we're bringing out your food right now!" We waited another 45-60 seconds, and he never made any attempt to deliver food to our table. If your establishment does well, I do not see how. If tonight was an isolated event, then you lost several potential future customers.
