I myself have gone through a similar situation with this shelter. Just after a lost my beloved pit/lab mix( Rosco). I went there looking for a pit bull which there were at least 4. When I ask about the puppy I went through the same thing as the 2 reviews below. I research this shelter and contacted the founding Humane society when I looked up the prices for the puppies which are extremely high. I adopted dogs in the past when they were by the airport and golf course and it was reasonable. What I found out was that the biloxi shelter had been taken over by a for-profit organization. Which explains everything including the severe disposition of the workers who all seem to care less if these poor animals are cared for or not. I was eventually FORCED to adopt from a independent breeder. I feel so sorry for these animals that are taken there my heart bleeds for them. They donot deserve to be use for corporate profit . I heard that they no longer have that shelter now. God I hope so for the sake of those poor animals
