We called Art on 12-19-16 because our Hydrohot is in our 2005 Beaver Monterey was not putting out hot air in one of the two zones. As I was explaining my diagnostic attempts to him over the phone Art asked me to get a screw driver and go to the bay with the unit and tap on a brass fitting. The air instantly started getting warm! Here is an example where Art could have made the appointment, driven out to our RV Spot at RV Ranch in Paso Robles and charge us his usual rate and I would have been none the wiser! This tells me Art is not only an honest businessman but lives up to his Christian Faith. If we are here next year we will have do our annual Hydrohot Service as his adversited rate is a lot lower, even with a mobile service call charge added in, then what we paid for the service at an "official" Hydrohot service center. Thank you Art!
This business is touted as being a "Christian" business which would lead you to believe they are honest. NOT TRUE!
The owner is rude and arrogant. He accused my husband of lying about a conversation with one of his employees without consulting the employee and then as I was pulling out of the parking lot, he came out and began yelling in my window - calling my husband such obscene names that I can not repeat them here. That's just bad business - certainly NOT what I would consider "Christian" customer service.
Additionally, I was quoted $1000 to repair the A/C in my car then took it to a reputable company in Colorado after relocating to learn that it would cost $150 to repair!
Hello my name is Gary Cooper. I have owned this business since 1986 and do a tremendous volume of work mostly from repeat local customers. Of course without knowing who this is or what kind of vehicle I can't comment on specifics and neither myself nor my manager recall this situation at all. We deal with rude and even dihonest CUSTOMERS every day. If myself or my manager did what this person claims, the husband had to of been yelling, accusing and cussing at us for a long time because we do have alot of patience dealing with the public, but only to a certain limit. To address the Air conditioning issue, it sounds like they probably had a freon leak from a component. Possibly the compressor which is about a $1000.00 job. If it is the old R12 freon, it is against the law to let a vehicle leave the shop with a leak because R12 destroys the ozone layer. If it was the newer R134a freon then we found the leak, explained it to the customer and they just didn't want to repair it. It sounds like the shop in Colorado just filled the system with freon. It will work for a while until the freon leaks out again. Like I stated if it was r12 I believe it is a federal law that the vehicle can not leave a shop with a leak so that shop was not doing it legal. BUT it may be a state law and be legal in Colorado - I don't know. I think the length of time we've successfully been in business, the excellent reputation we have locally and the volume of work we do spaeks for itself. No business can make everyone happy. If anyone reading this has dealt with us, please respond. Thanks for your time, Gary
