Cryotherapy
Pneumatic Retinopexy involves applying laser or cryotherapy to the retinal tear, followed by injecting a special gas bubble into the eye that pushes on the retina to seal the tear.

Glaucoma
Glaucoma is part of a group of diseases of the optic nerve involving loss of retinal ganglion cells in a characteristic pattern of optic neuropathy. Raised intraocular pressure is a significant risk factor for developing glaucoma (above 22mmHg). One person may develop nerve damage at a relatively low pressure, while another person may have high eye pressure for years and yet never develop damage. Untreated glaucoma leads to permanent damage of the optic nerve and resultant visual field loss, which can progress to blindness.

Macular Degeneration â€“ This is an ocular disease that damages the macula of the eye and causes irreversible loss of central vision, although peripheral vision is retained. In the early stages, vision may be gray, hazy, or distorted. See Macula.
Laser Eye Surgery
This landmark medical practice introduced corneal, retinal and oculoplastic surgery to Northwestern and Central Pennsylvania. This practice has performed many medical â€œfirstsâ€ in the area. Among these are the areaâ€™s first IOL implantation, the first Argon and YAG laser treatments, and the areaâ€™s first refractive procedures, RK, LASIK, and CK.

Retinal Tear/Detachment is a serious condition that requires prompt medical attention to avoid loss of vision. This can occur for any number of reasons, including high myopia, advanced diabetic retinopathy, trauma (a sudden blow to the head), or from aging, which is the most common cause.
