Tip Towing is an absolute disgrace. Hostility is an understatement with describing the service. I had called Triple AAA because my friend got into a bad car accident and slid off the road(1/23/2012). It was so icy that the driver they sent out could not extricate the car and instructed me to call them tomorrow. I did, and they sent down Which Way Transport because Tip Towing(the "neighborhood" tow company) had no tow trucks. They came out and the driver of Which Way Transport called his boss because he needed advice on how to wench out the vehicle( was against a tree). Upon showing up the owner of Tip Towing came down as well with their boss and attempted to "take over" the situation.
Right off the bat he told us that Triple AAA won't cover this(I am a valid member) and that it will be 145$ minimum. I called Triple AAA to verify because I thought it was fishy. They told me that "We will always extricate the vehicle, please put us on with the truck operator. I tried to talk to Tom Clark(owner of Tip Towing that came down) and he screamed "I'll talk to them when I'm ready damnit". Upon telling Triple AAA they called him(Tip Towing covers my area, but again they had no trucks "available"). He immedietly started freaking out cursing at me and calling me a f'ing idiot telling me that "he knew everything and that he was the boss". "Call Triple AAA all you want I know everything this isn't covered, once you get it on the truck you owe me my money." I told him No, I want it towed too my house, he laughed and got into my face and tried to intimidate me swearing and screaming "I WANT MY MONEY NOW".
They are very unprofessional and I wouldn't even trust them towing my power wheels.
THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. TipTow turned what should have been a simple flat-tire repair into a 3-day 'car hostage' saga, wherein the shop repeatedly made and broke promise after promise about when my car would be done/delivered. Every phone call to the shop was met with, in order, ignorance, displacement of blame, a hang-up, another promise, and -finally- verbal abuse and hostility. I have since received my car (three days and many hours after initially 'promised') and discovered the shop had neglected to provide me with copies of the work order, invoice, or receipt of payment. Upon calling TT again to request that the docuements please be sent to me, the owner became incredibly incensed - shouting hostilities and refusing to release any forms at all.... before hanging up on me once again.
Now I cannot comment on the quality of the repairs themselves; they might be fantastic. HOWever, on the basis of customer satisfaction, and given the way I was treated, I would *strongly* urge ANYone to give TipTow a WIDE berth.
