I was traveling for work and was looking for some recommendations for places to eat while in GA. It was recommended to me that I try 6th St. I must say, I couldn't be happier. Great food, Amazing Staff, and if I am ever in the area again, I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend 6th Street Pier to everyone.
If I could give 6th St Pier no stars I would have....This is by far the worst experience I have had in any restaurant ever!!! To keep it sweet and simple, this is how my 35th birthday went from 5:45-9pm.....
Waited over 20minutes to get 2 margaritas from the bar, waited 45 min to be seated, waited forever for drinks to be delivered to the table, waitress spilled beer all over table and my iphone 5..Waitress was 3 days new waiting on my party of 12, we sat with empty glasses through out the entire visit, food was delayed tremendously due to waitress accidentally putting the order on hold as she did not know how to use the features in the system, I never got to eat the wings I ordered because I never received the ranch, manager (Linda) was non apologetic about food being delayed, drinks not being filled, waitress not being seen for long periods of time, etc..Check was wrong with double entries, waited over 30 minutes to pay due to such a mix up on the checks....I was livid by the time I left, I had 3 conversations with the manager (Linda) and 3 conversations with the veteran waiter about what was going on from nearly the beginning of our visit as I could tell the waitress was nervous and would not be able to handle a party of 12 people...I never blamed her, I felt this was poor management and the situation was not handled properly at all. Linda (The manager) did not so much as offer any sort of apology or a discount, as a matter of fact her exact words were "There was a break down of communication between the 2 waiters and it sucks" and then she walked off????? WTH? I have never seen anything like this...EVER!!!
And it really saddens me because this used to be my little Friday hang out spot, but after I seen the way problems get handled, we will never go back!
!!!Honestly, I felt like my friends and family were just not the right color to receive fair treatment!!!!
Just had dinner with some friends. Ha- The menu states Carafe Sangria is $14.00; it came on the bill as $18.00. Mistake? mmm...I doubt it... The owner (husband of the ownership team) is uptight about the tables being separated in large parties. He browbeat the waitress about it when we tried to keep them together (so one of us could sit at the seam of the two tables comfortably.) The waitress was quite pleasant and I could sense the fear she had of the owner. The fillet was adequate (ordered Medium Rare, came Medium Well, had tendons? some kind of inedible connective tissue in part of it). The sides were mediocre, tolerable. When you are so starched-collar uptight about table-separation and only four (4) tiny black olives per salad how do you "accidentally" program the computer for $18.00 instead of the menu price of $14.00? mmm.... The atmosphere was nice and the wife of the ownership team was pleasant... They corrected it with red-cheek embarrassment when I called attention to their fraud attempt. Hopefully the last time I have to endure it
