FINALLY A PLACE FOR CHICAGO STYLE HOT DOGS AND BEEF COMBOS. GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE. THANK YOU JOHNNY F's.
We arrived at 12:15 once seated we received our drinks and salads promptly. It goes downhill from this point. There's three of us only one order arrived correctly the other two orders one was the wrong order and the cook on my steak was too rare. Our server did not refill our drinks but once. The server did not keep us posted concerning our order. When I questioned him he said the kitchen was backed up due to lunch volume. I had to request a manager to explain what was happening with our order. Due to delays and promptness of our service two of our orders was taken off the bill. I do not recommend going on a Sunday to this restaurant.
Great food at a very reasonable price. Very clean. Not fast food-it takes a little prep time. Excellent quality. One of my favorite spots!
Johnny F's- Chicago Style brings me back to Chi-Town. The food is classic Chicago food I so miss. Excellent prices and services. I live in Lyman and drove to get me the classic Italian Beef (Dipped of course).
The food here is awful. Of course, I am probably just biased because when I worked here, I was sexually harassed by my boss, Arthur Chulkas. And then I was fired by his son, Jimmy Chulkas, for complaining about it. But the food really is awful.
This place smells like old grease and you will too after eating here. We've been here twice for late night dessert, which was mediocre at best. The owners are rude. They charged us $4.50 for pie that is listed as $3.00 on the menu. The first time, they apologized..menu isn't up to date, etc. This time, they charged us above the menu and didn't even pretend that they weren't screwing us. They also charge you for tap water. This place sucks.
I've been here a few times because friends wanted to go. I, myself, will not be back. The place is run down and dirty. The seats in the booths are ripped and torn. Look around outside at all the trash and cigarette butts laying around. The last time I was here the eggs were tiny, like quail egg size, and they were overcooked! The potatoes were under cooked and the bacon was like trying to eat rubber! And I don't think the help is all that friendly. For the money, I would rather go across the street to Landmark. They have their issues too but at least it's far better than this.
The food is good! Service is good! Prices are affordable. Family friendly! Manager is very nice, he makes it a point to walk around and make sure you're happy with the food and service. Waiters are nice and friendly. Recommend.
Really...... bad..... food, ignorant owners with NO reguard for others in their restaurant yelling and screaming to the top of their lungs.....and a filthy, disturbing place to eat.....grease everywhere. If you don't want to get sick......go elsewhere.
I have gotten several different plates and have always been very happy with the taste and freshness of everything I've had there. The dessert menu is definitely top notch with lots to choose from. This place is sure to please the finicky of diners, as when we I have out of town company, this is a sure bet, sure to please!
