Wonderful Experience

Our family of four enjoyed a delightful Thanksgiving meal in the early afternoon at Sansone's. This cozy little bistro provides a surprisingly quaint ambience in a generic suburban shopping center. The service is excellent and friendly with the chef coming out to see if you enjoyed your meal. 4 courses, all of them good.

We had a great time and will return for another special dinner.

bad customer service

waitress angry, not happy that we were there at 8:20pm, chef didn't say hi, no acknowledgment of ""happy anniversary"" to us, we felt as if we were not welcome at all, we will not go back or recomend to anyone. Spent over 100 bucks and feel like we walked out with our tails between our anniversary dessert offerd

Great Italian Fare, wonderful service

Fabulous little Italian hole in the wall! We arrived on a Sat night and were greeted by the chef! We were seated promptly ? even without reservations ? which I would recommend. More popular since the last reviewers went! We didn?t get much of the ambiance since we were seated near the door but it was very cute and homey. (Did I mention to make reservations!). We were with another couple and were ready for some yummy Italian, and we were not disappointed! We started with the fried artichoke dish with a cream sauce that was to die for! Their wines were on sale ? well their previous year?s stock. That was a treat! Now that my palette is expanding I enjoy having some wine with dinner out! For dinner I went with the Eggplant Parm which was really really good! Sauce was excellent and since I come from an Italian household north of Boston ? good gravy is a sign of good food! The boys went with the Award Winning Snitzel. They both really liked it ? I took a taste and it was a bit too buttery for me! The last mean was the Veal Anjou which came with berries and bears and gorgonzola ? she liked it but would go with something else next time! Wait staff was excellent! When asked to assist with our choices she was honest and forthwith. My dilemma was pork medallions vs the eggplant and she said tonight was definitely a night for eggplant! It was nice to get good info when eating! I would definitely go back!

Great Date Place

I?d like to keep this little gem to myself, but that just wouldn?t be fair to Sansone?s. We went on a whim and were quite pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by the friendly waitstaff with fresh bread, hot from the oven. Things only got better. The artichoke appetizer was KILLER with a sauce so delicious, you?ll want to lick the plate. The Quail and Foie Gras salad was heavenly, with fresh raspberries, blueberries and quail cooked to perfection. The 7-bone(rack) veal melted in my mouth. Bottom line ? the wine list was excellent, the prices very reasonable, the service was fast, friendly and professional, and the food was absolutely wonderful. We can?t wait to go back! Tip ? they have an early bird special dinner.

a gem of a resturant,,,, don't miss out on this one

Had dinner during first nite of rest. week and I must say it was a great experience.. The menu was choice of appt.., entree, .. dessert.. With a party of 3 we were able to select all 3 and shared and none of us were disappointed... the artichokes were tender, the salmon cooked perfectly, and lemon creme brule was to die for!!!!! Hands down this was a dinner to remember and we will be back... staff was great.. professional, attentive and quite knowledgeable.. great wine list even tho we choose the wine special for the nite, looking forward to another experience.. good work...!!!!!

Delicious Food, Great Personal Service

I had a group of 20 or so people for a monthly get together and we choose this place based on previous reviews. We weren't disappointed. The staff was very attentive and the food was so delicious. We even had a visit from the chef :). I heard a few in the group talking about going back and as small business owners ourselves we loved supporting another small business in the community.

I just discovered a little place on so. university and WHAT A FIND !! Stopped just to see what it was like and ended up staying for dinner. We ordered one meal off the menu and the other was one of the specials. The steak Maison was done to perfection and served with veggies and potatoes . More than satisfying. The special was a seafood crepe that was melt in your mouth tender, the sauce was TO DIE FOR !! would like to have that receipe !! service was prompt and gracious and the prices surprised me , not expensive and a good value for the dollar. Give it a try and you too will be SURPRIZED!! . highly recommended

What a great find!!! I have discovered a new favorite!! A small quaint restaurnant with a fabulous menu. The owner/chef prepares everything fresh daily , so the specials are something to look foward to. I had to try the Braised Lamb Shank { prepared with fresh herbs, white wine, lemon} and have to say I'v never had better, fall off the bone tender and with just the right amount of seasoning. I've been back 3 times and it seems to just get better and better. Service was great and not expensive !! And when you get dessert with your special , what more can a foodie ask for,. give it a try. Highly Recommended!!

Must Strongly Disagree with ""Awful""

I have to strongly disagree with the ""Awful"" Pair. They obviously ate together, and commented together. The food was wonderful. The chef really has a way with sauces. I didn't have the Paella, but I did have the Orange Roughy and it was light and tender, juicy and flavorful. Even the presentaion was wonderful. My salad had a obvious homemade blue cheese dressing and the mixed greens were so much nicer than just plain lettuce. Even the croutons were homemade. My guest had the Weiner Schnizel which is what they are known for and the homemade brown gravy was delightful. The service was also outstanding. We were recommended and we will definitely recommend again.
