Nice shop with interesting items. Be aware that you may or may not receive any assistance in removing large items from the premises, or you may have to return another day and/or be told that “you’ll have to bring help” in order to pick up your items if they are large. Most upsetting to me was the rudeness of the staff, and I’ve never seen this on previous visits to the store. I’m usually willing to forgive and forget, but one woman working there was so rude that I won’t be returning to the shop.

Overall
Worth a side trip

Greenwood Country Store is not a traditional "country store", but rather a collective of antique, craft, and book dealers housing in a single building. As a result there is a lot of variety in emphasis and stock, from high-quality furnishings, kitchenware, etc., to the more usual eclectic mix of nice crafts and old kitschy stuff. It's especially worth a trip if you like browsing used books, as there is an excellent selection of titles in the main used bookshop area. The owner doesn't just put grocery bags of stuff on the shelves, but winnows through them so the titles in various subject areas are worthwhile. You won't find much Stephen King and Danielle Steel, but for example on a recent visit there was a pop-up Wizard of Oz book in the children's section in great shape and an excellent guide to cactus and succulents in the nonfiction area that came home with me.
