I live over an hour from Tim and Tammy's shop but they are my first choice for transmission repair. I've used them for the last 6 or 7 years. From the front drive automatic Honda to F250 automatic rebuilds. Never had any issues with their work. Tim shows the parts he replaces and gives all the information you desire. Tammy is always kind and courteous with timely follow up. Thank you!

DON'T TRUST THESE THIEVES!!!! They tell you they can fix your vehicle and that they're ordering a new part. Then find out weeks later, after they send you home with a car that's still un-repaired, that they never bought a new part (they bought it from a junkyard). They charge you hundreds and then you find out they had no business even touching your car, needless to say charge you or claim they can fix it, because the ONLY ones with the programming abilities are the dealerships. YOUR COMPANIES HUGE LACK OF COMPASSION AND PROFESSIONALISM MAKES ME SICK!!!!!!
Very nice folks at this AAMCO. My older vehicle transmission was promptly serviced and is running just fine. Thank you!I will do business at your shop again.
I purchased a 06 2wd Tahoe with a bad transmission and took it to Mr Transmission to rebuild. They have been there a long time and at the time I could not pull it out myself. The 3-4 was out in the trans but 1-2 gears were fine. After getting the prices we decided for the full rebuild. Everything went smoothly and the Tahoe was back on the road except the warranty is NOT NATIONWIDE and was only 2 years at that location. 4 months later wile towing a small john boat the trans would start slipping on any kind of hill. Took it back and they tried to blame it on the Airaid cold air intake and the code scanner I had plugged in before taking it there. WTF? They looked at the trans and said there was nothing wrong but they turned up the pressure a little to help and cleaned my mass air flow sensor. Really? I never towed the boat again with it and always used my ford dually. Now 2 years and 4 months the transmission went out. 4 months out of warranty. Guess what? The 1-2 just went out. Looks like they only did a patch job and not fully rebuild the transmission like I paid for. I would not trust this shop to tune a lawn mower. That trans should have lasted 10 years +. All its used for is to drive back and forth to work and to go out with the family.
They did repairs on my 2005 Dodge Caravan on several occasions. They did quality work at a reasonable price and I got my van back faster than I expected. They were friendly and very professional each time.
To better serve your transmission needs, we purchased Greenville Transmission Clinic, INC. The Tranny Man location on State Park Rd was closed and relocated on 6/1/14. You can still use the same phone number and the same smiling faces plus some will continue to serve your needs! Looking forward to seeing you!
I needed 2nd opinion on work another transmission shop had done, told Tim the story and asked him if he would check it our (2008 Silverado). He spent at least 1/half hour driving as well as checking the computer and electronic settings, told me it was operating correctly. He wouldn't take anything for the expert work, but he's my transmission guy in the future and would suggest to anyone else as a great choice.
My local Honda repairer (DJ's Honda Service in Taylors) recommended Cain's when they found out that my tranny was out. This was the third bad transmission in my 2000 Odyssey in 241,000 miles. Hearing you have a bum transmission are words I have gotten used to with my Honda. Great van! Poor transmissions. Honda covered the first 3 under warranty but at 241K they would cover it no longer.Anyway Cain's was first rate. I always seemed to speak to the same person, Adam. When I brought my van in naturally my question was "you rebuid these, what is wrong that cause them to fail?". Adam took me through it. He brought out the parts to show me what was going wrong and he was also able to tell me WHY. Now he was not only going to install a Cain's rebuilt tranny he was also going to fix the problems that caused them to fail. He showed me the new 5X as large cooler they would install. He showed me the in-line filter with magnetic trap that they would install. Then he told me something I never read in a manual... Replace the Honda Tranny fluid each 15,000 miles. They repaired my van in record time, a couple of days (better then their estimate of a week). They were nice. Adam did not try to rush me through, he took the time to explain. He inspected all the parts like; motor/transmission mount and CV axles. There were no other issues with my van. I don t know who much other shops charge for repair. Cost was $2K plus tax... Hey that is only about 4 car payments! We have driven the car about a hundred miles. No issues so far.Cain's has an A+ rating with the BBB. Hard to beat that esp in this business.I am a person who likes to do his own work but in a case like this, that is just not practical. It s nice to know there is a place like Cain's (and DJ's) where I can bring my car and trust the folks repairing it.you've made ours a Merry Christmas Cain's!
I wouldn't take my car to anyone else.
Tim, the owner, went the extra mile to repair the transmission in my 1986 Nissan 300ZX. In spite of vendors sending the incorrect part (twice), he made no excuses for the vendor and ensured I was kept informed of the progress at every step; Tammy was the very courteous voice that relayed all the messages back and forth. Once he located the correct part, the repairs were completed in a timely manner and the transmission now works perfectly! Tim also took the time to show me the distress on the original parts; I got some "free" education! I really appreciate the written 2 year / 24K mile warranty that came with the repair; other shops have not been as generous. Thank you Tim and Tammy for a positive experience!
