Took a riding mower there. Paid over$300 for repairs and a new battery. Got it home it cut off said bring it back said it probably needed a fuel line but a day before said it needed a carburetor and had fixed it. Took it again said, it was no charge but charged my son. Got it home had to jump start it. I going tomorrow and ask for my money back. Paid a total of over $350. It still doesn't work.Mom said could have brought a new one for that price. It was a mower that belong to my brother who died this year. Didn't think a lawn mower place would RIP a person off especially an elderly person on a fixed income.Good thing I worked in law enforcement. I know what to do now.
I wish I had read reviews first but I was out of town and my son took it to them.
Was in her buying parts. I own my own repair shop. Heard a customer complaining that his chainsaw was not running after they replaced his fuel lines. His bill was 35 dollars. They told the man they recommended a new carb plus fuel lines from the start which would have cost 75 total. He didnt want to pay for the repair as it only needed fuel hoses(according to him), it had run fine a year ago. Not sure it you guys realize this or not but if a shop recommends a repair and you refuse, then it doesn't run right that issue is on you and not the shop. They cant expect a free repair when you were told the machine would need more work. I'm sure these are the same people who complain they are being wrongfully evicted after not paying rent for 2 months. You can choose to ignore professional advice people but when it blows up in your face you can only point the blame at yourself.

Took my weedeater in to their "repair" shop last week. It was leaking gas and I personally cleaned out the carburetor before, but told them it wasn't running right and still leaking gas out. I told the business to call me before doing any repairs and let me know what it would cost. Got a call from them a day later. "Weedeater is ready." "Great, but I thought I was going to get a call from yall about pricing before any work was done?" "It's only $25." "Oh, well in that case, that's much cheaper than I thought."
Took weedeater home with hopes of getting neglected yard work done over Memorial Day weekend. Weedeater wouldn't even start to crank.
Took weedeater back to them today. Owner said, "We replaced the fuel lines." That's all fine and dandy, but I told them it wouldn't even crank. His response: "Well, you said you rebuilt the carburetor. That's your fault if it's not running." Wait a second... I thought I took this thing to a REPAIR shop???
That's a good business policy... Let's take care of the minor issue, make it seem like its good to go, and not even mention that it won't begin to crank. (It's your fault??) I expected it to cost more if they had to replace the carburetor, and would have gladly paid to repair the weedeater fully, but apparently fixing the overall issue was not their plan.
That's like going into the doctor with a cut on your finger and he/she gives you a bandage for it, but decides not to ask you if you want to fix the bloody gash on your forehead. Of course, you do.
I've never been so disgusted with a customer service. I was told that they were going to have to order parts, and that I would not have my chainsaw back for a week. After talking to someone else about the problem I was having with my chainsaw I immediately went back to them to pick up my chainsaw. I then gave the saw to my neighbor and within 2 minutes the reset the chain brake and my saw was running beautifully. The Epps employee has surely seen this before. He looked at the saw right in front of me and assured me that he would need to order parts!!! Terrible company.
I wish there was an option for 0 stars. Ok so i took my commercial mower over to Epps in the off-season to have a hydrolic fluid leak fix..no big deal right? Well i was told they should have it done in a few weeks to a month tops and that they will give me a call when the job is completed. Ok so i wait a month and still haven't heard a word. So i call them. The owner (Thad or Chad?) tells me how they are trying to get me the best price on parts. So i still am patient and wait..Still no call back after another month..and by now we are only a month away from lawn season. Serious lack of communication forced me to call again. The owner said that the parts wont come in until March 15th! I put the mower in the first of January! The owner tells me that i should have a back up mower! Really? Ok so i finally get my mower back and after a week both wheels from where they put the hydrolic motor pumps are bent into my mower frame! So i call and the owner tells me to order the damn parts?? So the butcher job continues! This is my first review of any company. Dont ever take your equipment here. You can tellthe owner is burnt out and gets his sidekick mechanic to do most of the work...and he is the worst! This company lacks communication as well. I would have taken my mower to landscapers supply but there lead mechanic was out for a few weeks. Please save yourself the hassle. They need to close shop

These people are so rude. My husband is a man of color and a good man. He needed our lawnmower repaired and a new tire. We were more than kind, but were completely ignored. They would not even look our way!!!! My husband became frustrated and we just decided to leave. I can't believe that in this day and this economy, that these people would not even acknowledge that we were there. They were not at all busy, no customers. I cannot imagine what kind of people they must be. I'll never give them our business and I will let everyone I know how awful they are!!!

This is the most unfriendly and unprofessional business I have dealt with in quite a while. While they repaired my mower for a average fee, the lack of communication and rudeness spoke a thousand words. I was told that I would be called when it was ready, quote should be ready tomorrow = no call, no fix, I had to call and was promised the next day and then no call that day...etc... This happened 4 times. After picking up the mower, I called a week later to ask a question about my mower was rudely told ""I have NEVER fixed a mower over the phone, I have 7 people here and no time to discuss this"" and hung up on. WOW what customer service. I will NEVER take or purchase anything from this business and I will steer all of my friends, family and even strangers from Epps! This business doesn't show appreciation towards it's customers and in todays economy I am amazed. THEY just LOST my business and 100's of others.

We called and asked for a quote for a minor repair. The quote was reasonable and was ""around $45-65.00"" The repair was made, and we were billed $83.00. We were happy to have our product returned in good working order, but a ""quote"" should certainly not exceed the high-end that was given us over the phone, particularly when parts were three dollars and labor was seventy five dollars. I would not recommend this business.
