Stanton Optical is the most incompetent eye care doctor I have ever been to! After my initial exam, I had to wait for them to order trial contacts and I went ahead and ordered polarized, mirrored finish, prescription glasses. After my contacts came, I found that that the prescription was very inaccurate and scheduled a re-exam. After my reexam, I asked the doctor if the prescription change would affect my glasses. Well almost a month later, my glasses came and with my busy life, it was almost two months after my initial order that I finally picked up the glasses. I was wearing contacts, so I did not try them on in the store. After I arrived home, I took my contacts out and tried on my sunglasses. I cannot wear them for more than 30 seconds without my eyes starting to hurt! Since Stanton Optical is on the opposite side of town that I live and work, it was about a month before I was able to return. In the meantime, I never ordered contacts because I did not trust the doctors Rx whatsoever because the numbers looked incorrect from what my Rx has been for the past 10 years. So in February, I went for another reexam and it was a different doctor. I really liked him as he took his time and explained my prescription and the importance of letting your eyes rest from contacts every so often. The trial pair they gave me was perfect! During the same visit, I explained to the sales rep on the glasses side what happened and told him about my sunglasses. He said it was outside the time frame of having them re-cut and I would have to pay 20% to have them replaced. I already paid out of pocket over $100 (with insurance) for the glasses, now they want me to pay $120 more because the doctor initially wrote the wrong rx!! Well I finally ordered my contacts because I trusted this doctor and his Rx. I assumed they would have wrote the Rx for the trials they gave me. I put in my new contacts this morning and the left eye is too weak. I’ve wasted $ on glasses and contacts I cannot wear.
My family and I have been going to Gosnell Opticians for about the past ten years and we are always satisfied with their service and the selection of frames. We are very satisfied customers!
Wow I like stanton wonderful customer service they are very nice and they are patient. Stanton takes thier time with you and they don't rush you feel l mordant and like a special person Stanton don't make you feel little when you ask a lot of questions like I do they are very clear, and they are prompt with you glasses. I would recommend anyone to and Stanton optical don't take weeks for your glasses WOW that's a plus
Took my glasses in to have the frame repaired and when I picked them up the lens had a big scratch on the inside. So after insurance pays I now need come out of pocket with $100.00 to replace what they damaged. Not very fair but don't feel like arguing but I will never go back!!!!
