The Carmike is an okay theater. They don't have hot water in the bathrooms, and one time they said online that a certain movie was playing at 7, but when we went there they weren't showing it until 9. But other than that they have a really nice staff, and clean atmosphere. They're kind of expensive, but if you go on a Tuesday they have dollar day where everything concession wise is a dollar. And also their matinaes are decently priced as well.

When I first moved to Greenville, the Carmike had been built very recently (late 90s). After all this time, the only time I ever saw it in bad shape was this summer when one of the bathrooms was in bad shape that night. But other than that one incident it has been kept fairly well. I have no idea what the previous person is saying when they claim that ""movie times are yelled out by staff members"". I don't think I've ever witnessed that happening. Actually, a computerized screen/bulletin board on both sides of the lobby shows the movie /seating start times. If there have been incidents when movie start times have had to be verbally announced, it is probably because of idiots who do not know how to read the information being broadcast right in front of them. That is sad, but typically southern. Thank God I'm outtie!

This is the only theater in Greenville, so there is not much choice. The Carmike staff and management is so bad. They control the movie times by yelling out when they are seating. You can pay for your tickets by Debit/Credit card, but there is like a 2.00 charge for doing this. The Staff is very young and does not seem to care what is going on with the customers. The theaters smell like a wet towel that has been seating in your closet for about 3 months. I wish we had a different choice but we don't. If you can wait for the next city or go to Blockbuster.
