I recently purchased a 5th scale from Show Me Your Hobbies. Adam the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful, and a great price compared to the other hobby stores. I would highly recommend.
One of the biggest selections of O -027gauge in the the western pa. I drive out to this store about once every two months.Always has the the latest and greatest and far below the internet pricing. Great people and the owner John was very nice to me.One thing i did learn if you buy Lionel from them and it happens to have an isssue he immediately replace it with a new one. If it is a MIke trains house then it must be sent back for repair, for they do not give replacements to him like lionel. If you want building he has a ton of them as well as a nice gargraves collection.
I came to Brady's Train Outlet website to find Lionel items and after doing my research on other sites, Ebay, etc., I subsequently placed an order with Brady thinking I'd found a great deal. Well, turns out it was "too good to be true" of course. When I received the order, one of the couplings on the car was broken before I even took it out of the Lionel packaging. When I followed up with Brady's Outlet to let them know what happened, they told me I would be responsible to cover the return shipping cost! Since I received the merchandise damaged, I'm not clear on why I need to cover the return shipping costs?? By the time I pay all of the shipping to cover damage I didn't cause, I may as well have bought from the other vendors I researched. You can bet next time, I will! When I spoke to the manager Harry, he told me he "doesn't handle that" and I would need to "send an email" via there website (no easy task given the set up on there site). I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that's what's called 'poor customer service'. I will definitely go elsewhere henceforth for my purchases.
