I have the service plan on all my appliances for years now. I am totally satisfied with the service I have received. The service man I had this time has been here before and always does an excellent job with repair. The people that you schedule with are another story, most do not speak understandable English. I wish Sears would keep jobs in America. Time schedules are usually not right but I give the benifit of the doubt because I want them to spend the time needed to fix my appliance with out having to rush to the next appointment.
Very disappointed! First of all, I had a scheduled appointment for Sear's to come out and do my yearly furnace and refrigerator checkup which I paid over $300 through their preventive maintenance program yearly. So, the arrival time is from 8am to 12pm on a Friday, and no service man yet. I call at 11:45am to see what was going on and their excuse was something happened in their system which bumped my appointment out of the system. I wasted my whole morning on my day off waiting. So, they rescheduled my appointment for the following week and said they would send a tech out who could check both appliances instead of sending two separate techs. The man was very nice who checked my furnace and on his way out the door I said "what about my fridge"? He said there was nothing he could check on the fridge unless it was having issues. So I then get phone calls twice a day, every day for two weeks straight bugging me to renew my maintenance plan after I told them I would get back to them if I decide to renew. Such a nuisance! And then, I get an email asking me to fill out this survey about my refrigerator repair which I never had. I've dealt with
Sear's for many years in the past and this was the worst experience ever! After all the inconvenience they have caused me they never offered to deduct at least $20-$25 off of my yearly maintenance plan. Unbelievable!
While the salespeople and the technician were fine, the foreign-speaking schedulers were HORRIBLE! Not only was their grasp of English terrible, they also couldn't tell time. After specifically telling them I needed the afternoon time slot due to an appointment, and even REPEATING and confirming my request, I received and email confirming the wrong time. A followup may be needed on this repair, and I'm really not looking forward to this experience again!
I cannot possibly find enough words to describe how DISSATISFIED with Sears abysmal repair service. First, you speak with representatives in an off-shore location.
Then, they schedule an appointment for service and the technician arrives, examines the problem and proclaims that they "don't have the part on the truck and we'll need to order it". That further delays the repair.
Then, they show up for the appointment, only to have the sub-standard, refurbished part completely useless and so, the problem continues.
Now, I am supposed to await the next appointment hoping that it will correct the problem. What do I base that on? The substandard, refurbished part?
I am absolutely certain that I will NEVER purchase another appliance from Sears. Their shoddy appliances, poor parts, and abysmal service have left me with no other choice.
Due to my 5-year old Sears refrigerator not working, I have to rely on a 25-year old, non-Sears refrigerator to bail us out of this mess.
Horrible. I think they are the biggest rip off. I scheduled an appointment based on the part i wanted and needed replaced. I told them to not come if they don't have the part. Well they showed up and didn't have the part. looked at my dryer and said "Yup" thats the part you need and no I don't have it on the truck. They said they would have to come back next week with the part. Then proceeded to try and charge me for the service call!!! Who operates like this? NO ONE! I am turning this over to the PA attorney general to make sure this non sense stops. Im really afraid they do this to little old ladies and is a way in my opinion that they try and survive since Sears Holdings is on the last thread
Call some one else. Stay far away from Sears repair service!
Once they finally actually show up no issues. However it took from December to March just to have a maintenance check provided free under the warranty. Every time they canceled it took a month before they could reschedule. Don't bother calling customer service to complain because you will speak to a foreigner who you can barely understand.
the technician was awesome and very polite. my problem was i was scheduled for november 14th and was told at the last minute that my appointment was cancelled and had to reshedule, after losing a day of work. so i scheduled it for nov 21 with the hours of 8-12 the day before i received 2 calls and an email reminding me of my appointment.at 7am after calling off work again, i checked my email and it was from sears saying your scheduled appointment is 8-12 with your technicians arrival window time of 2-4, now dont know where people went to school but 2-4 isnt between 8-12. when i called i got the rudest person imaginable on the phone telling me they will get there when they get there. after 3 more phone calls he arrived at 4:30...im not blaming the technician since he said that he was overbooked with 8-12 clients. sears needs to hire more technicians or do better scheduling of their work orders...i would give them a zero star
Terrible service - failed to diagnose problem after 3 years and now the found the leak, but rust is around the leak. The rust was caused by their ineptitude to find original problem. So very disappointed in Sears. Never again will I step in their store or use their service.
Sears repair people are good and know what they are doing. The problems with sears is that they do not have enough service people to handle repairs in a timely manor. There management should be taught how to treat there help so they might stay. They may need to put management into training to help increase there business. Looks like most management has been promoted from incompensy. Star rating service people the best management the worst
