My experience with smail auto group was absolutely TERRIBLE and HORRENDOUS they are dubbed the car dealership from hell in my book first they sold me a car that had 3000.00 worth of repairs that needed done on it not only did they fail to tell me about it but they passed it for inspection knowingly knowing that the car was severely messed up and should have NEVER even came close to passing inspection they put it through anyway then gave us a lame excuse as to why they put the car through inspection saying that they must have just missed it how do you miss 3000 worth of damage????? The next day I called JEFF MARKLE the guy who had sold me the car he completely ignored my texts but was replying to all of my texts before I bought the car how coincidental so my boyfriend at the time and I went up there to see what this weird noise was in our tire and Jeff had a cold demeanor towards us and told us to go to the repair station so we did and got the problem solved okay cool I kind of let it slide not even six months later the car started acting up and we needed to get something serious done to the car i needed Cadillac converters I called JEFF MARKLE and JASON HEMPFEL SEVERAL times they both ignored my phone calls to the point where it became unreal long story short I had to go to enterprise to get a rental smail auto said that they would pay for it and they didn’t so I ended up getting into serious debt with enterprise and ended up having a horrible relationship with them as well because things got really ugly between us so I didn’t get to enjoy my car because there was drama with it since day one they failed to tell me about any problem with the car they ignored my phone calls treated me very badly and was really rude whenever I would go up there didn’t keep their promises like I hate that place and would NEVER EVER EVER recommend ANYONE in this world to ever go there and if you are stupid enough to go there DO NOT let JEFF MARKLE or JASON HEMPFEL take care of you!!!!!
I work with special needs kids and also have a relative with special needs who goes here. They have some book where they complain about everything and just grate on his home care workers nerves and they showed it to the relatives once awhile back. A apple wasnt sliced and this is an issue why??? They seem to have no coping skills themselves and deal with nothing without making a comment. Arent they being paid to deal with issues? My relatives cant belive the extra work they create for everyone. Everylittle scratch is a topic of discussiom. So many uneeded comments on lunch, clothes, etc. Use some common sense.
Great local dealership. We have been dealing there for years and many cars. I really enjoy working with our salesperson at Star.
Took the car in for a wheel alignment. The mechanic said he couldn't align it 100% because some bolts were seized up. He claims he took a torch to the bolts for 20 minutes in an attempt to loosen them. He said I needed inner and outer tied rod ends. I declined those parts and took the alignment as best as it could be done as he explained it. I then took the car to a friend of mine who is a mechanic. He put the car up on a lift and was able to unloosen those same bolts with a hand wrench!!! He also said there was no evidence of a torch being used on the vehicle. I then took the car to a place that does alignments and they let me watch as they had no issues at all getting it aligned. BOTH mechanics said this Toyota dealership was trying to rip me off... no kidding! A relative of mine took their vehicle in to this same dealership for a scheduled 30k check. This was to include checking and topping off fluids. Well their coolant level was low and never topped off and their oil was overfilled by this dealership. Unreal! This place awful! I can't imagine how many people don't check their work and get ripped off.
I just bought my 6th car from Smail everyone from the lot attendants to the mangers treat me like family at honda and Acura including everyone from service i deal with Mike Arndt and feel he is trust worthy and always makes sure I get the best deal on my trades and the car in buying
Apart from feeding my child 2 meals daily and adhering to a special diet. This place was horrible. At one point we were told by a "teacher"..."I don't know anything I am just the teacher". Corrective action is a theory that went out the window with them. The staff would issue write ups to toddlers then present it to the parents at the time of pick up. Upon observation of the staff from a separate room on multiple occasions the cook was down right mean to the children and not just mine. The cook was often times left alone with the children while the teachers were out of the room. The staff insisted on the children being in attendance for no less than 6 hours a day 5 days a week which is more than most kindergartens. If you dropped off or picked up more than 8 mins late there would be a $15 fee. Most days the staff was 15 to 20 mins late themselves and you would have to sit and wait for them to arrive. There was no parking, the drop off area was in an alley and fire zone.

My husband, daughter and I were LIED to about a used 2011 Hyundai Elantra in the Toyota lot. My daughter had seen the car listed online. We thought since we had dealt with this store in the past we would come back and give them our business. Knowing that they have the same owner we could buy a car from them even though it was in the Toyota lot. After waiting for 15 minutes for the salesman to bring the car down for us to see, the salesman tells us their has been a mistake and the car listed as automatic was a manual. BIG LIAR!! They tried showing us other used cars on their lot but my daughter insisted we visit Toyota and see for ourselves. Low and behold, we had been lied to and we did end up buying the car from Toyota. Not only did the salesman lie to us the sales manager, Art, was in on it. No one wants to deal with liars but lying about something that can easily be found out was a very BOLD MOVE and a stupid one at that. They obviously did not care in the least about how they run their business.
Thanks to Jodi and Joe at Star Chevrolet for the excellent customer service I received. They took the time to help me and was patient with me throughout the whole process until I drove off the lot in my Nissan Rogue! I will definitely be back!
