        The Bird & Exotic Hospital has expanded the scope of Dr. Harrisons The Bird Hospital. While still devoted to birds, we also see a wide range of animals, including: ?mammals such as rabbits and rodents (includes guinea pigs, chinchillas, hamsters and rats) ?ferrets ?marsupials (sugar gliders) ?insectivores (hedgehogs) ?skunks and ?reptiles (includes lizards, turtles and snakes) For more than 20 years, Dr. Vanessa Rolfe has focused on avian and exotic pet medicine and with her well-trained staff; she will work to keep your pets healthy and happy for a long time. If we havent had the honor of meeting you, we will be happy to show you around so you can see what makes our hospital different.

        * Medical Services * Wellness Visits/ Consultations * Emergency Visits Prevention is the best way to avoid costly medical bills and to ensure your com-panion thrives and lives a full life. A wellness visit can prevent problems. * Medicine and Surgery of birds and exotic pets Birds and exotic pets hide symptoms until the illness has progressed. If your companion is showing signs of a problem, make an appointment immediately. * Testing, Radiography (x-rays), Endoscopy We have high-detail radiography, high-tech testing abilities and endoscopes to detect and diagnose problems. * Bird Grooming Birds occasionally need nail blunting and wing clipping, and mammals and reptiles need nail clipping periodically as well. * Exotic Pet Boarding (we currently do not offer boarding for domestic cats & dogs) Our B&B (Birdie Boarding) is a room isolated from the hospital for well bird boarding. We also board mammals and reptiles in a separate resort. * Premium Foods and Specialty Toys We carry Harrison Bird Diets and Oxbow Hay Products. We also carry animal toys, some books, and gifts for bird lovers.

        Amenities
        Estimates show 90% of problems in these exotic pets are due to improper care, feeding and environment, and this is due to the fact that it is often hard to find accurate information. This is our niche.

        Overall

        Dr Rolfe has saved my beautiful and beloved Macaw twice. The last treatment was arduous, but Dr explained everything so well, and provided the means to treat him at home, and she has taught me to be a better bird parent. My bird, Rainbow, adores her.

        Overall

        We have been taking our animals to Dr. Rolfe for 6 years. We have two rabbits and two guinea pigs and we couldn't be happier with the care they give them here, both with preventative care and with serious issues. One of our buns had a fracture and our other had a calcium stone that needed surgery. They did an amazing job treating them both. I wouldn't trust any other vet with our pets!

        Overall

        The folks at The Bird Hospial are outstanding. I have a flock of birds, that needed trimming, grooming, and healthcare. I have tried others, but found Dr. Rolfe to be very informative and her skills are of high value. Thanks!

        This is THE best aviary vet I ...

        This is THE best aviary vet I have ever been to.

        My cockatoo Baby was very sick recently and close to death with a infection and Dr. Rolfe saved her life, pure and simple. I have taken my birds to B&E for close to 10 years now and I would go no where else. The doc and her staff CARE about your birds and will do everything in their power to get them well.

        I have no idea what I would have done with them.
