Intellectual Property
Eric is a fifth generation Montanan and grew up in Red Lodge and Great Falls. He received a B.A. in Film and Television Production from Montana State University in 2006 and received his law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 2010. While in law school, Eric focused on business and intellectual property law, and spent two semesters in London, England studying international law. He interned at a boutique solicitor firm and in the Business and Legal Affairs department of one of the United Kingdom's largest production companies. Eric also interned in Great Falls working on civil litigation cases while a law student.
Unfair Competition
When efforts to avoid litigation fail, the Firm has experience and expertise representing businesses on the various kinds of claims they may have or encounter. Business litigation often involves claims for breach of contract, including failure to pay and various means of pursuing collection (such as claim and delivery and replevin), failure of a party to perform its contractual promises, defective performance and breach of warranties and representations. Wrongful Termination
The firm primarily represents employers, management and businesses in connection with all employment-related issues, including consulting on federal and state regulations, drafting of employee manuals, employment agreements, drug testing policies, wage and hour issues, and human rights complaints. The firm litigates wrongful termination, discrimination, and ERISA claims. Greg continues to be a member of the Firm's Tax and Transactions practice team, where he practiced with an emphasis on business, estate planning, estate administration and trusts. He handled cases involving business, farm and ranch organization, reorganization and operation, including corporations, limited liability companies, limited liability partnerships and limited partnerships, along with real estate transactions of many varieties and variations, keeping in mind the various tax aspects overlying the topic areas. Greg continues to mentor younger attorneys. He was an elected Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) but is now retired. He is licensed to practice in Montana and has served as President and is a member of what is now the Business, Estates, Trusts, Tax and Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Montana. Greg has also served as President of the Cascade Estate Planning Council.

Wills
It did not take Mr. Johnson long to develop a practice emphasizing wills and probate, estate planning, banking and real estate law. Finally, in November, 1949, Mr. Johnson and Mr. Williams merged with the established partnership of Mr. Church and Mr. Harris to form the firm of Church, Harris, Johnson & Williams.
Trusts
From 2014 to 2017, Ed served as Chief of the Office of Consumer Protection, which oversees Montana charitable trusts and corporations. He was a Deputy Attorney General to Attorney General Tim Fox.
Power of Attorney
1. Lifetime Considerations: One of the most important parts of estate planning deals with considerations of management of one's property during lifetime, not only its disposition at death. Examples of this type of planning would be powers of attorney which permit others to manage your property or personal affairs for you, even if you are disabled or otherwise unable to do this on your own. Other examples would be simple forms of creditor protection planning, shifting income within a family, or Medicaid or other government program planning whereby qualification for various programs is assured while protecting one's other assets.

Steve is admitted to the State Bar of Montana, the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, the United States District Court for the District Montana, and the bars of the Blackfeet Tribal Court, the Chippewa Cree Rocky Boy Tribal Court, the Fort Belknap Tribal Court, the Fort Peck Tribal Court, and the Salish-Kootenai Tribal Court. He is active in the Bankruptcy Law Section of the Montana State Bar Association, having served several terms as a director of that organization. He is also active in the American Bankruptcy Institute, and a member of the American Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. Before joining this firm, Steve clerked for the Montana Supreme Court, served as Assistant State Attorney General, as Assistant District Counsel for the United States Small Business Administration, and as a specially commissioned Assistant United States Attorney. Steve served as attorney trainer and seminar presenter for the United States Small Business Administration and is frequently featured as a speaker at bankruptcy law seminars. He has presented legal programs at seminars sponsored by the United States Small Business Administration, the Montana Bar Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the National Business Institute. He has also authored law review articles, as well as non-legal publications. Steve has also served as the chairperson of his law firm's Litigation Committee.
Foreclosure
With land may also come the unfortunate land dispute.
