Gages Lake Auto & Light Truck Repair

I have used Gages Lake Auto for years. They have treated me excellently. I have saved thousands in un-needed repairs because they let me know of common problems with my vehicles BEFORE they happen. Every vehicle they have serviced has gotten 150,000+ miles for me. I even got a free transmission through a recall they found. I just introduced my 16 year old to them. I trust them with my vehicles and now his!

I have been a loyal customer of GLA since 2006. I have had three vehicles serviced and maintained by GLA over this time frame. My experience has been very positive overall. Any repairs that are needed are always explained first before work is done. Courtesy cars are a great help so you can go about your daily routine. I like that they tell me what to look out for. Every time I drop off the car they test drive it, then drive it again after the work is done. I like that they are thorough. I don't want to find out that I have a problem with my muffler when its dragging on the ground.

I expect my mechanic to be proactive and give me a heads up on upcoming maintenance needs. They tell me when items (tires, belts, other) are showing signs of wear so I can budget for replacement. They also mail the recommended service schedule to me (the 50,000 mile checkup or 100,000 mile as is now the case for me). I like working with a mechanic who does not hit me with ""surprise"" repairs every time I take my car for an oil change. At the same time, if they see something, they do let me know. They also tell me which repairs are really needed right now and which can be safely delayed for a while. I have recommended them to others and feel confident doing so.

I have had NOTHING but good experiences here at Gages Lake Auto. I've taken both of my vehicles there and was treated fairly. Mark and Todd are wonderful to deal with; friendly and knowledgeable. They provided me with a clean courtesy vehicle when needed. I've always received NOTHING but professional service while at this shop. I HIGHLY recommend it.

The owner quoted me a outrageous price on my vehicle repair. And when I told him I didn't have that kind of cash. He told me he was sure we could work something out. He must be nuts no way would I go out with a balding mechanic.

My husband told me they did repairs not needed and that I was charged way to much. I stopped just for an oil change and was told my belt was ready to break. I had them give me the old belt to take home with me. When my husband saw it he went off on me. The belt he said had no cracks and looked like new. They charged me $110.00 for the belt with labor. I tried to discuss this with the owner who more or less told me to leave.

This place took advantage of me because I am a women. And when I called them on it they gotr real verbal abusive.
