About the course
Our scenic golf course at Alta Sierra makes the perfect setting for country club golf: lush trees in a picturesque setting, a fun round, plus plenty of variety. Every hole has a distinctive character, making this the ideal place to consider if you're looking for a club to call home. We do welcome some visitors, because ours is a semi-private club that allows a certain amount of public play. Generally, the course is reserved for members and guests before noon. A limited amount of starting times are available to the public in the afternoon. Alta Sierra opened as an 18-hole course in 1964 and was the design of Bob E. Baldock and Jim Summers. Baldock is known for creating literally dozens of courses throughout California. Here the designers used the natural landscape skillfully in creating fairways and greens that meander among majestic pines and black oaks. You'll never suspect what's coming next on this course, because no hole repeats what you've seen before. As you stand on the next tee box, it will be a clever change, every time.

General Info

Established in 1964, Alta Sierra Country Club maintains an 18-hole course that features a more than 6,500-yard track, practice putting green and chipping areas, as well as a driving range with over 20 stations. The club offers a range of proprietary and business membership options. Alta Sierra Country Club operates a pro shop that houses a collection of golf equipment and apparel from several brands, including Adidas, Ashworth, Greg Norman, Sport Haley, Monterey Club and Antigua. It maintains a restaurant that serves various items, such as desserts, entrees, appetizers, sandwiches, salads and hamburgers. The club also organizes several golf tournaments. In addition, Alta Sierra Country Club serves a venue for a variety of events, including business seminars, community luncheons, bridal showers, rehearsal dinners, family reunions, anniversaries and birthdays.
