The Laughing Clam

Not an Irish pub....(?) and never claimed to be. It's a bar w/food. Of course you seat yourself! The owner is a woman, but glad you enjoyed the schmoozing gentleman. The pesto burger, ginger coleslaw, $1 oyster shooters, revolving beer selection, and all-you-can-eat fish tacos are to die for. The staff is over-the-top, the music is wonderful, and this is the perfect place to meet co-workers after work with and without their families in-tow. Everyone meets everyone there. Those folks probably left after 15 minutes (as I have before) because their party called them to tell them to come over to their house first, or something like that. You've got it all wrong, sister. The only down-side would be that the music stops, and the place closes MUCH too early on F & Sat nights. : ]

We were recommended by our hotel. My husband being 100% Irish wanted some good fish & chips. When we arrived we were not greeted. We sat ourselfes. We received our drinks, waited about 10 min for a waitress to take our order.His fish had to much batter,when he bit into it the whole peice of fish came out. People came in after us & ended up leaving after waiting about 15min with no service......not what I expected...for the $$. Not so much. I believe the owner was there stroll around, he should pay more attention to his guests instead of trying to look good....
