Ok I hope this review turns out to be something practical. I am only speaking of the "pre-tattoo" experience. But from what I gather preparation is everything. I have over 5 tattoos all of which were mostly spur of the moment ideas. Something different happened when I visited Mos Eisleys... The receptionist was very professional and prompt. She told me to look through all of the artists portfolios FIRST and then choose an artist not based on name or reputation, but rather which artists' work most matched my desire for the tattoo I wanted to get. Really cool! Then as I sat and looked through the collection of art, I witnessed how detailed and attentive Mos Eisleys staff were. They are a busy place! I wanted a tatt right away as usual, I came in with cash and they said that it would be better to get references (pictures) of what I wanted and consult with the artist first. I could hardly believe it, I was actually stunned to be rejected at first, but realized good ORIGINAL artwork takes time. So with that said I have an appointment to see the drawing 2 weeks from now. This is not a "fly by night" orginization but rather a well prepared and well situated buisness of working professionals who will keep saftey and respect to the craft as top priority. I honestly can already say that I know this is going to be a good experience without having even been touched by a needle as of yet.
Today I walked into this lovely shop with my two sisters to get matching moon tattoos to remind us of the magical weekend we had in Michigan. We only had a few hours for all of us to get some ink before I had to board a plane to head back home in the west. We had called other local shops where we were turned down immediately saying that it could not be done with such short time to sketch out our ideas and work. We then were so fortunate to be helped by Hunter and Matt at Sovereign who quickly started to sketch out our ideas and tattoo all three of us in an hour and a half. All of our moons turned out perfect along with the best service and kindness I have ever received in a tattoo parlor. I HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone and everyone who is looking to be treated right and efficiently. Makes me sad to go back to my home state! Thanks Sovereign Arms Tattoo Co.!

House of Micheal Tatoo is the best. I'm so happy that I got my last tat there. Very sad I didnt get them all there. Ed drew my tatoo by hand, then after he put it on my back, he threw it away. So I will have the only one. He is one of the best artist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Ed's shop is very clean. I felt very comfortable there for my 2 hour setting. I can't wait to go back, to color in this one, and start my next. Ed will help you with anything. Fixin anything you wished you would have got there in the first place. Don't forget the next time you want to get a tatoo, Ed is your man. You will not be disapointed. Promise!!! I'm sending all my friends. Monica A.K.A. ( Curley)
Recently my husband and I drove up from Battle Creek to check out the shop and possibly get a tattoo. The shop is well kept and clean and the staff is friendly, courteous and professional. I had an idea in mind and Jeff and Chris jumped right in to help me find what I was looking for. Jeff refined the design and worked with the color until it was exactly what I wanted. The final product was amazing and exceeded my expecations! My husband got a grey and black piece of a wizard that it so realistic I'm afraid it might cast a spell on me!! All in all it was my best tattoo experience ever! I would highly recommend Screaming Eagle for all your tattoo and piercing needs!!
its very hard deciding where to go with so many shops all over the place. I've heard horror stories on art, piercing and cleanliness. When I found these guys I was sold. It smeels so clean and they are very sterile!!! My tatt ended up better than the picture and I haven't even got the color yet. You won't go wrong here clean, friendly staff, worth every penny. They have the internet so you can look for more ideas, watch t.v. while your waiting or getting art done, they also will draw you a custom piece of what you want. They also make sure you are comfortable the whole time. Just LOVE them, awesome place. THANKS
Clearly the only bad reviews here are people who are uneducated and can't even use the spell check on their computer. I went to this shop after driving around Grand Rapids with my friends trying to find a decent place for a walk in. We finally arrived at this shop and the guys were all so eager to help. Their prices are excellent and reasonable. I have four tattoos total, one being from them and I will definitely return to this shop. I am very picky about professional positions and acting professional and these guys definitely are. Not once did I feel uncomfortable or annoyed. I completely recommend this shop.
These guys know so much about what they do and they know some pretty renowned people in the industry. While I was there, Freehand Robert was visiting and he taught the owner how to tattoo! He drew this tattoo on a girl in there so quickly with sharpies and tattooed over it and it was the most beautiful tattoo I have ever seen. The guys in the shop put out some pretty awesome stuff! The guys working there are super talented and you have a variety of options and styles with the guest artists they have in their too! If you want a well rounded, safe and clean tattoo, this is the spot to go!
