Forest Hills Public Schools is a public school district that was founded in 1956 and offers educational services to more than 10,000 students. Located in Grand Rapids, Mich., it operates over 15 elementary, middle and high schools, as well as an alternative institution. The district employs gifted and talented education consultants, guidance counselors, social workers, psychologists, speech pathologists, resource room teachers, special education aides, math support professionals, reading specialists, and occupational and physical therapists. Forest Hills Public Schools conducts classes in nearly 175 courses, as well as supports English as a Second Language, alternative education and Spanish immersion programs. It administers various exploratory classes and electives in choir, band, orchestra, drama, foreign languages, science, math, technology, art, and life and communication skills.
