Brad B has done an outstanding job for our family this week. He has been very professional, and we will be using him for future projects. We will recommend him to any family and friends that need this type of services.
My thermostat was not displaying. I changed the batteries. It still did not display anything. I called Schaafsma. I have the Red Carpet plan. Unfortunately I inserted the batteries wrong. I was charged $160 and that included my discount for my stupidity
High Pressure salesman that flat out lied!Came, did his thing, showed a quote, wanted me to sign then. I said "can you give me a couple days?" The answer, a Flat "NO, didn't they tell you there is a special now?" said it would go up 15%, if I did not sign NOW. I called the shop tight away, they said there was no such "special". I HATE liars! Maybe the pressure since they were 25% higher than the ones that got the job!! The SHAFT-sma nickname is correct!
Darrel Y. came and diagnosed the issue with my furnace. The part that was needed wouldn't be available for 2 days so he lent me 2 electric heaters since it was around 58 degrees in my home. He came back at 8:30am and had my furnace kicking out heat by 10am. Thank you Darrel!
Rude and condiscending. I went in to Godwin with a few questions about how to repair my toilet and leaking faucet. The guy behind the counter glared at me as I explained the problem then walked away to help someone else. He spoke to me as if I was mentally deficient child. I will never return to this place.
Penning Plumbing..."call at your own risk". They charged $2,334.00 for a new water heater and parts. One of the parts was a $235 drain pan. I looked up the cost of a drain pan online and its approximately $20.00. I called Home Depot and Home Depot gave me a quote for the same water heater and parts...Home Depot's quote came back at $1,572!! I could have saved $762.00! with Home Depot. I emailed Penning asking for an explanation and have yet to get a response...I will update this review as soon as I get their response.
This company price gauges. They charged us double what any other plumbing company would. They claimed we needed a bunch of crap we didn't need. They charged us $325 for a drain pan. I called 5 times in 2 days to complain and NO ONE answered the phone. The owner finally called back and said they quoted us ahead of time and we shouldn't have agreed to the service. I told him they shouldn't rip people off. He didn't care and offered no compensation. I will NEVER use them again and hope no one else does either.
We had Penning Plumbing for a leaking toilet. The service was very good. The charges were not. Upon researching other plumbing companies we found out we were charged double what others charged. $300.00 for one hour service plus $49.00 service call.
Like how the 5 star ratings don't talk about pricing...names seem odd as well....hmm, smells fishy!Seriously, contact Penning..."at your own risk"
Called early Saturday morning and Robert came out about 45 minutes later. Was worried we'd need a new furnace but Robert was very thorough in his troubleshooting and had our issue resolved in less than 30 minutes. He was very respectful of our pet too, which was nice. We've had 3 other companies out here for furnace repairs and none of them compare. Thorough explanation of the issue and future potential problems, using terms that were easy to understand. Highly recommended.
