As a city girl relocated to the south Meijer's was very impressive. The store runs rings around Wal-Mart. The cleanliness, the customer care, the selection of items (they even sell hard spirits), they have a drive up pharmacy and let's not forget the gas station. You can use coupons along side their rewards program, earning additional discounts and coupons.

this place is terrible! Bought a beer cooler with a missing part. They said to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer said they did not have the part and to return it. They refused. My wife and I left it in front of the store and put it into dispute on the credit card.
Parking lot is a bit tricky. IDK why and no matter where I go, there's flies in the pan de dolce case. Never had a problem with the meat products from the butcher counter. The staff is great, in English and Spanish.
Really poor customer service. Bought a new iPhone for $300 and it has all the same problems as the old. Waited 2 hours just to get the phone and then no one told me I had to sync it up differently so my issues wouldn't carry over. Went back and made an appointment. Got there at the scheduled time and had to wait 15 minutes with 3 kids before talking to a technician who then told me I shouldn't have bought a new phone. Now getting set up for a trouble shooting call. Apple is monopolizing the world and I'm done with their products.
First our problem wasn't covered then they accused us of using an after market charger! They had more excuses than a criminal going to jail why they didn't have to cover it! The Attorney General's office will be receiving a complaint about them this I promise! After I filed a complaint about my att service they fixed the problem and gave me a $365 credit on my bill. Can't wait to see what they do to Apple!!'

Just spoke with Mark (Manager). We purchased a dishwasher but it wasn't installed right away because we had to wait for our contractor. We dislike the dishwasher and wanted to exchange it for another. AND at the same time purchase a new stove and Fridge. Because we didn't have it installed right away they won't allow us to return it (we waited 2 weeks to install). When I asked "So, you're okay with sticking us with an LG Dishwasher we dislike, even though we're going to buy about $3500 worth of appliances?" His answer was "Yes. I don't make exceptions on returns." So, we will be purchasing our appliances from a local dealer. I have purchased 10's of thousands of dollars worth of equipment over the last 20 years... It is unfortunate that one manager will put an end to our relationship.I will note, Mark was NOT rude or unpleasant, just unwilling to work with me. If I had been outside of the purchase 2 months or something, I would have understood. It was literally 2 weeks.. and I had to wait to have it installed. I offered to fax a copy of the receipt of the contractor.
About 3 weeks ago my husband went into the Apple store at Woodland Mall on 28th Street in Grand Rapids. He was bringing in my son iPad. We have a severely autistic 11 year old son. He is unable to speak and we are in the process of having him use the Proloquo2Go app for speaking. This app is a complete blessing to use as it offers our son Michael a way to communicate. Unfortunately though, he has broken several iPads. We have saved and used up our warranties on each one. Feeling completely frustrated, my husband brought the iPad into the store to see how much it would cost to have it repaired. Since our son is older now we thought we could give it another shot. We are working with his teachers in an effort to help him use this app for communicating and he has come a long way! We were unsure if the iPad could even be fixed or if we would just have to save up for another one.My husband went in and made an appointment to be seen. He came back out and looked at me stating he felt it was going to be a waste of our time. We had low expectations and had excepted that Michael would have to wait until we could put together enough money for a new one. To help put clarity on this situation I cannot even express in words how desperate we are to have this work for him. I have a child that we literally cannot wait to meet. We have no idea what he thinks about, what he is sad about, and what he dislikes. He can never tell us about his day. Nothing, because he has no way to communicate. This app has opened a new world for our family. The quality of his life will dramatically change with the use of this app. Michael chews the case off and cracks the screen every time. We have no idea why he does this. He loves using it, but, for reasons we do not understand, he shoves the iPad under doors to watch half of the screen and despises the case!My husband went in for his appointment without any expectations. He was greeted by a very friendly woman. Unfortunately, my husband is bad with names and I waited in the car with our son. We don't know her name. I really wish we did because we cannot express how impressed and thankful we are that she is who my husband met that day. He sat down and started to explain why the iPad was in such terrible condition. As soon as he told her we have an autistic son she perked up and told him she understand because their was a child in her family with a disability. She told my husband that our son breaks the screens and tears off the cases because he is touch sensitive. She also said let me go talk to my boss really quick. She returned a few minutes later with a new iPad. Unbelievable is all we can say! She has no idea what she did for my son and for our family. She also recommended a case that we should buy that was tough. We purchased the new case and my husband was on his way. When he came out to the car with the new iPad I was stunned. He told me that as soon as he told her about Michael, and she said their was a disabled child in her family, he felt an instant sense of relief that someone understood. My husband said she was so nice and went completely out of her way to help him. We want to tell her thank you. She really has no idea what she did for us that day. Good customer service is a rarity these days. She was great and so is Apple. Thank you so very much to the person in charge at the Apple store that gave her permission to give us a new one. A special thank you goes to her for the understanding, kindness, friendliness, compassion and her amazing attitude towards helping. You are a wonderful person.Thank you for amazing customer service,Jim & Michelle Mocini
I was very unpleased with my service at ABC Warehouse on Alpine. I understand they are high pressure sales, but no need to be rude! I was doing some price checking, the sales guy was helping me and told me he could have it shipped to me on Saturday, but he had to talk to his manager. The manager comes back and asks my price range and then tells me that I should go with what I was looking at because there is nothing better and that no one could beat their price. When I asked if I could stop by later or call after I made my decision he was rude and started walking away from me. The original sales guy also disappeared - no thanks for coming in - no let us know if you are interested. RUDE! I am willing to pay $50 more on this product then go back and deal with them. There business must be really good if Customer Service is not #1!
I went into ABC to purchase a stainless stove after comparing prices all over. This was the last stop of the day for me. I was treated so terrible by a younger man at this location. I had looked up stoves with sears previously and found a stove at sears for $300 less online. This younger man was terrible to me!!! Told me it was a cheap stove and offered me an off-brand model for only $10 off as a comparison price. After being in the store for well over an hour, I was ready to walk out and leave. The store manager proceeded to come up to me who was incredibly rude as well. Kept playing with prices and talking me out of what I wanted for my house making comments here and there about budget. The price he ended up with was so incredibly high compared to other places I had checked out. I honestly do not know how this location gets any business at all. I was treated so terribly by 2 employees in just over an hour. They couldn't even come CLOSE to the competitors in the area. I was also told I was lying about another stove at sears that was self cleaning. They seriously "PRETENDED" to call another store and told me that the online price was not accurate. I called that same exact store after leaving ABC and sure enough the price and description was what I was told. I would not recommend this store at all. It is very obvious that these employees work on commission. Terrible service and customer care!!!
