It was about two years ago now but when my wife and I were looking for gifts for our wedding party we came into the store. We were told we would get $50 back if we spent $250 or more so we spent an extra $65 thinking we would get this promised $50 back. I even asked twice that the it was not going to be store credit but after the goods were bought and ordered I was told it was store credit! Not only that but we were told there wouldn't be any refund on the goods ordered as the were custom... needless to say my wife and I were very upset. Also, we were told to pay a $5 membership fee in order to get the $50 back. So we were out $5 on that and the extra gifts we needlessly spent money to buy. Avoid this place cheap china made goods, poor service, dishonest commission focused employees.
They are rude...snotty. They've been that way for years. There are many alternatives.
one of the ladys that worked there was very rude and acted like she had better things to do with her time then help! gah rude!
I'd much rather spend my money with a local toy store. The selection is very good, the prices are pretty average, but the staff is not helpful at all. Nobody knows how to work anything, how to make suggestions, and there are not nearly enough employees throughout the store if you need anything. I much prefer to keep my money with family owned businesses and support my community. If you must go big-box...hit up Target! MUCH friendlier staff and great prices, too!
I placed an order online this past week. I first received an email letting me know all 5 items I ordered would be delayed. Two and a half hours later, I get another email letting me know my order was ready to ship!? Less than an hour later, I get another email, letting me know my order was received. What a mess! The following day I get 5 new emails letting me know my items would be further delayed, and my action was required within 24 hours to keep my order active. Otherwise it would be canceled. I immediately took action, I logged into my account and canceled my entire order (one item at a time). Then, after RE-ordering the 5 items from Amazon.com, I get another email from Barnesandnoble.com letting me know I am NOT able to cancel my order, as it has already shipped!! A disaster of a company! I highly recommend sticking with amazon!
