Dr. David Russell Ireland, DC

I would not recommend Dr. Ireland as a chiropractor. He is good at his work and can adjust you well, but his bed-side manner is terrible. He acts like he is crazy, babbling on about anything and everything. In the year that I was going to him, I never felt I could talk to him about my health issues or concerns, there were no serious moments. It was get in, listen to him talk for 10 min, then get out. He has no respect for his patients. I personally was given a 5 min. lecture on how terrible and stupid I am for sleeping on my stomach. At the time, I was laying on the table on my back with him standing over me. He talked loud enough for everyone in the office and waiting room to hear (especially with his open door policy, no privacy at all). I was humiliated. Then as I was leaving, he continued to comment on how I probably wouldn't come back after what he said, joking about it! As you may have guessed, I have not gone back. I would rather suffer with back pain until I find another chiropractor, than feel publicly humiliated every time I leave his office. On a positive note, the office staff are very friendly, which was not true at the chiropractors office that I went to for 17 years of my life before Ireland. If you can put up with him, then that is great, but personally, I would rather go to someone who respects me, my privacy, and really cares about my health!
