After reading the reviews everyone gave I was scared to go inside. But he had what I wanted so I sucked it up and went in. COULD NOT have been TREATED any BETTER. He was as NICE as NICE could be. He answered all my questions and I had several, I am a rookie with guns. If you noticed on the front door there is a sign. Asking not to use cell phone. Well he is hard of hearing so if he is on the phone and someone else is talking I am sure it makes it pretty hard for him to hear. He's old folks, and trying to make a living in a world of corporations and chain stores. He's old school. I recommend his store....just respect the older VETERAN. And P.S. look out for the DOG... do not stick your foot or hand over the walk way to behind the counter. SHE'S the one that WILL GET YOU...LOL
Holy Cow, reviews are spot on about this guy. I am an Army Combat Veteran with two tours overseas in Iraq and Afghanistan. I walk into his store today. He asks, "What can I do for you?". I respond, politely and humorously, "well, I'm just blowing some time while the ol' wife gets a pedicure." He walks to the back, not saying a word. Ten seconds later, he comes back in and sits in front of his computer. I say, "How are you today?". No response. I then say, "My dad is a gunsmith, and I've always wanted to come by here and check out your store." No response. So, frustrated, I say, "Well, I guess I'm not going to get any service in this store." He then says, "I've been in business 30 years and it's because i don't do business with idiots." WTH. I'm a pretty easy going guy, but this was the last straw. I lost my cool, offered a calm FU and left. Sorry, dude, but you even made me mad. That's pretty hard to do.
An absolute a**hole. Waited several minutes for him to get off the phone. He never did. I called a law enforcement friend of mine to tell him that he had .22 cal in stock and he stands up and yelled at me to get off my phone as he couldn't hear his phone and he did not allow cell phones in his store. We just left. I had heard rumors on what an a** this guy was. It is now confirmed. Never again.
VERY, VERY RUDE ! NOT INTERESTED IN DEVELOPING NEW LOCAL BUSINESS! New in and town and was referred to him by Ruger Firearms to assist in returning a gun to manufacturer for service. He first gave me a lecture on how I was wrong and didn't need help with shipping because that was not how it was done! I again explained to him that Ruger had REFERRED me to him as UPS had changed their policy. Once he discovered I "had never been to his shop" and was asking a favor he became even ruder! Thru this conversation I discovered he had ammo and asked him numerous times what size, count and amount and each time he ignored me and just became more belligerent. Not at all interested in customer service or developing a new customer base. We believe strongly in supporting local business and are willing to pay a bit more for good customer service to local retailers. Take care of us we will help take care of you. Apparently this guy just doesn't care and after reading more reviews I see I am not alone. NEVER GETTING OUR BUSINESS...AND WE FREQUENTLY BUY IN THIS MARKET!
I didn't even want to give him one star. This place is a complete rip off, with the rudest most arrogant person you will ever meet. Prices are horrible with the complete opposite of customer service. All of us that live in this community want this buisness gone. Please do us a favor and go anywhere else!
The worst experience i have ever had with a gun dealer in my life. He is very rude and will insult you if you so much as question his prices or information. I tried to sell him my S&W 45 1917 and he laughed at it and offered $100 for it. I went to another dealer in town and they bought the exact same gun for $300 without hesitating. He is actively out to rip you off and knows nothing about guns or how a business is supposed to work. Stay away.
Don't even slow down. Any positive reviews were written by Murle. He has the SAME REVIEW under multiple made up names. Any reference to "staff" is a lie because he's the only one there. He sits in a chair behind the counter and yells at customers. If you go in you better buy something QUICKLY and leave. He has NO time to discuss anything, he'll not answer questions. Prices for his ammo and components are 15-20% higher than other LGS's prices.
Says he is a gunsmith but doesn't allow guns in the store.
This guy is rude, arrogant and has no concept of customer service. The sign in the place says "Im not here to entertain you"
How he stays in business is a mystery.
This place is infamous amongst those who have actually dared to step foot into it. If you don't believe me, go see for your self. Ask one of these questions: Isn't Walmart's ammo cheaper and just as good as yours? Do you carry Beretta or Benelli? Can I just look around for a minute? Do you teach CHL classes? Can I buy some primers from you (just primers)? Can I buy some high-end gun cleaning supplies from you? Will you do an FFL transfer for me from Bud's Gun Shop? If you want an out of this world experience, take my script and head on in there.

You can't beat their ammo prices(cheaper than wal mart) and better quality, plus most of the time its in stock. They are more than willing to take as much time as they need to help people out whether its a first time buyer who has question after question, or a long time shooter who needs a quick order or a part. I found my place to shop and its a 5 minute drive can't beat that.
Worst experience, worst customer service, horible owner with no people skills. Murle is mean, rude and unprofessional, he treats his customers like crap and threatens them when questioned. His specialty is surfing the internet and writing fake reviews for him self. Normally they are short and sweet, saying how great he is and how much they respect him for his way of doing business. Do NOT fall for this propaganda... murle... your not fooling anyone. For those who do venture in, DO NOT bring children... he is a dangerous unstable man. DO NOT ask questions and for God's sake, do not carry if you have a CHL... he will call the police and take your gun. HE IS CRAZY.
I first went there and subsequently bought my first handgun a couple years ago. The guys there didn't rush me to make a selection or leave, nor were they unfriendly to me. They answered my questions and you could tell they knew the guns they knew, and liked the entire business of gun ownership. Murle went over a few guns I was interested in (while on more of a budget then) and definitely helped me decide upon my first one, which is to this day, my favorite of four handguns I've owned.
