I went in to purchase a plan (which I referred to as the $35 plan) but the rep didn't make it clear that it would be another $20 a month to 'access the line' nor that there would be a $30 fee to begin with on my first bill. When I set up my online account to find a first bill of $100, I immediately called Verizon customer service and they assured me I could cancel and return the sim card for a refund within 24 hours. I was grateful for this because after hearing the monthly bill would be $60 for something I was paying $35 for through MyFamilyMobile there was no way I was going to stick with this plan.

I went back to the store to return my phone and the sales rep (Jennifer?) refused to return the sim, saying it had been used. She insisted that I 'knew' about the extra charges, but she said nothing to me about them. I had even called it the '$35 plan' as I said above. So it was clear what *I* thought I was getting with this plan. She continued to argue with me over returning the sim card and I decided to just go above her head with the parent company for the store and do a chargeback on my credit card since this plan absolutely WAS sold under false pretenses and I was NOT warned about this huge, bloated first bill (which there's no way I could have paid).

As an aside, when you're on the phone with Verizon doing the disconnect, don't say 'they decided they don't want to pay that much now' as if I freakin' knew it before. No, I didn't change my mind about what we agreed on, I was misled about this overpriced plan.

If you are set on using Verizon, which I wouldn't recommend for the price (the same data + unlimited text/talk is available through family mobile on the tmobile backbone for $35 flat - that's after taxes and fees) don't go to these "authorized retailer" places. ONLY deal with an actual Verizon corporate store.

I wouldn't have written any of these reviews if I'd just been able to return the SIM, but that was it for me.

I went in and bought a new phone for Verizon and I was in my full upgrade and had a $100 credit. I left the store and then started to look over my receipt and noticed that I only got a $50 credit off the price off the phone. I contacted Verizon and they stated that yes the ""dealer"" only gave me a $50 credit in error. When I contacted the store they stated that for that phone even though I was authorized $100 credit towards a new phone they were only authorized to sell it with a $50 credit. I told him that the verizon company was willing to give me the $100 credit that I am due and his rely was ""fine return the phone but you will have to pay a $35 restocking fee and you will only get a profit of $15"". I was so irrate at that point as that is horrible customer service!!! BEWARE THEY ARE SCAMMERS !!!!!!! NEVER DOING BUSINESS THERE AGAIN!------after posting this review they gave my card the $50 credit that I was due. Still will not do business with them again as the initial response was horrible and I had to insist on something that was honestly due to me.
